Default Coercer AA tree

There's lots of talk about enchanter tree - agi/int if you are in the dps groups, agi/sta if you are in regular MT group (my unlucky situation atm). What about coercer tree?

I have 2 ranks in Auspex, maxed regen for Ease and Beholder's, and Thought Snap (only so-so useful on agro wipe mobs since I am in the MT group). I can do 1k on single targets, over it on group mobs, but have yet to see 2000dps - I know that big part of it cos I am in the MT group tho.

I am thinking of changing AAs to get Tashania, but I would like some feedback if it would be worth it as far as dps goes.

So what spec do you guys have and what dps you do on raids?

I am now in the off-tank group.
I find coersive healing kinda a must (90% of the time I've a defiler), the reactives you can get does do nice damage, ea less casting them and they all proc at once if an aoe is cast by the mob.

Didn't pick mindbend, since it's useless and not needed.

Because in my group also is a dirge I didn't took the manaline (doesn't feel atractive enough anymore).

So I went Taishiana and 5 points in sonic boom/ego torrent, still uncertain in how far taishiana stacks with decap and similair buffs.

I'm sure you mean Dispatch and not Decaptitate. Someone started a thread about debuff caps on the SOE Coercer forums, which I, too, believe exists.

Other coercers down the mana line put points down the self regen, Gorging Thoughts, Channel, and Mana Flow. The pure regen buffs are wasted grouped with a bard. Thought Snap seems good utility line.

But I'm down Tashiana and Coercive Healing. Then 5 in Mana Flow and 5 in Sonic Boom. I didn't think Mana Ward was that rewarding and didn't serve as anything more than a distraction. Not to mention that Gorging Thoughts gets wasted because AOE Immunity can block the group power increasing effect (when grouped with a shaman with a dog pet, annoys me to hell). And I have 3 points wasted in Mind Bend because I did not notice until recently that Harmonious Link counts for Coercion.

And, I've posted my dps at the bottom of Page 3 here in "Coercer = DPS."

for grp mobs..just a suggestion =x... tab b/t mobs and keep auspex up on all the mobs..will improve ur dps greatly..and keep chrono up all the time..30 second duration..30 second cast time..just keep an eye on it..and if u dont already have profit or fetish..it helps..lets u know what spells u have up..and time left on them..so u can ensure they are always up.

Screw points in Channel, Mana Cloak ftw.

Tashiana is just not up enough for it to really make a difference in my opinon. Maybe if debuffed more than just mental it might make a difference. The only time I could really even see it benefiting is on mobs that AE and timing it so that Tashiana is up when the mob AE's and Spell Scourge hits harder. I just don't see enough benefit out of it, maybe if it was all magical damage and not just Mental. Quite frankly very few people in the raid are even going to notice you have it up.

As for Thoughtsnap, there aren't enough Mem Wiping mobs for it to make a difference, and a good tank is going to be able to deal with the mem wipes anyways. I also feel like I'm wasting 10 points in the lines because quite frankly in raids I really don't need faster casting or reuse on my stuns and no one has been able to show me a use of the dispel yet.

Coercive Healing besides the Line being really useful and increases personal and raid dps (with the extra deagro on HL) has the most tangable benefit out of all our end line AA choices. Even if you are in the OT group and only use a Cleric (like my guild), the extra Reactive trigger can be really nice. We often have a Templar solo heal the OT on pretty much every fight where you need an OT. If you have a shaman, 15% larger wards is huge. I've had other healers bitch at me because they are so bored with nothing to heal while the shamans wards never break.

Mana Ward is the middle one. I took the AA's to get it that you can always benefit from regardless if you have a bard in the group so that no matter how you look at it my Regen is as best as it can be. Mana Ward it self is fantastic for Mayong and Avatars. It is very easy to see the group that has a Coercer to the group that doesn't on those fights (and Matron and other power draining mobs if you take longer to kill them).

Just my 2 cents worth. Here is my spec for my coercer. I will typically do a little over 1k ZW in an EoF zone, though my gear could use a lot of work.
