You know how completely unless it is for Enchanter roots to affect epics? Completely. Why? Because you have 24 people wacking the shit out of a mob, oh look you broke the root after it being up for half a second, grats now you can't reroot it for over 2 minutes!

And ruined your Daze timer while you where at it for a daze that got broke as soon as the mob got hit.

Daze brakes on damage not on root brake

The point there being that the root we have has a daze attached to it.
