IMO I'd much rather have abilities people bug me for. If it benefits the raid, sure I'll do it
No I don't like being annoyed for buffs but I don't generally find that a problem as it is now. I'm sure once they put something in thats similar I'll be singing a different tune ;) but overall if its worth it and really does make a difference in the end then why not?

I do have to say though I'm not sure I really like a mana burn hate transfer. If you were going to go that way then it might as well be a hate snap or a straight amount of hate given right to the target.

Still makes me shudder thinking about it considering the way they originally screwed up Thought Snap, lol.

I didnt mean a manburn as a nuke, i meant a powerdump, transferring all your power to another group or raid member. and i would imagine it would have a slow recast therefore elminating being bugged for it in a jesters cap way.

Also i didnt just imagine how a troub liked it, i just asked one and got the impression he just enjoyed in being useful.

Hm well I like that more, sorta sounds a little powerful though. A long recast would be a definate or it might start pushing the lines of what some people might call overpowered. Even if it does take all or most of the Coercer's power, power is easy enough for the Coercer to aquire (especially with Crystal Gift &/or proper mana proccing gear or clickies).

It's nice to be useful but JC is just a really slow, unclever duck-duck-goose, enough to make a troub feel used rather than utilized, if that makes sense. ZZZzzzzz.....

DPS buff is great, sure. But, almost all dps scouts reach a very high number self-buffed, so that's limiting as well.

Link is useful but there is probably a deaggro cap just like there is a hate cap. I've seen people with it on die, and people of the same class without it parse better at the time of death and not die on the same mob. If you don't have a troubadour lying around, I can see the utility, but the better answer would be to recruit another troubadour, they're greatly underappreciated.

Finally heal crits. Heal crits seem valuable but in practice, but they're certainly not required. Comparing parses of priests with high crit chance and low crit chance doesn't show the enormous difference that say, spell damage crit shows. This is because heals are limited to the incoming damage. Even the MT healers, who should have the biggest spikes due to having more hp to heal, don't show a discernible difference. I've played several healers specced without heal crit
and I always keep everyone alive and usually am near the top of the heal parses.

iirc:

dps cap=200
dehate/passive hate/hate transfer caps: all 50
heal crit cap: 100%

Most of our buffs don't hit the caps now, even taking self buffs of scouts/healers into account.

Also, I seem to notice a significant improvement with more heal crit% buffs on my defiler, but since I don't have any data to back that up I won't argue the point.

I like my raid role fine as is--would just like more damage along with my CC spec
