obviously not, and yes i know melee tohit is rediculous in the zone but VP is a very small amount of the content so unless i say a zone it should be interpreted as the majority of content vs the minority.

if i was a raid MT it might be a different story but honestly i forgot what it was like to tank for longer than 30 seconds at a time.

I taunt a lot, but when you've got buffs worth a damn (e.g. an enchanter, dirge, warden, etc) and/or debuffs (brig, etc), and you're parsing 2-3k, which is the case in raids, most of your aggro is going to come from your dps, not your taunts.

And as someone has stated, if the mob(s) are prone to resisting taunt (like Chelsith), it's best to start off with a high-damage CA or two (e.g. exact strike + lay waste).

Because of the nature of the issue, wouldn't a solution be to reduce the mojo burn on taunts even further?

i like to lead off with decimate then chain debuffs it has always worked for me as far as getting snap agro, recently i read the lockeye hate post and it turns out debuffs/control carry their own hate value too so it all makes sense now. as a tank all that matters is controling the mob dps it sell is trivial (unless your not tanking). as i have said before taunts = dps if you dont use them your stupid single tarter taunt is another 1K+ hit and AE (not AoE)taunt is a encounter wide siege.. easy as that.

a tanks taunts because he can taunt & do dps in the same time, np. of course you can hold aggro with DPS (blablabla) but how to make DPS in VP with a 60% to max 80% hit rate ? hä ? so if some tank (berserk/guardian) is telling you "i dont taunt !" and the reason for that is "i dont need to" or "i'm too lazy to taunt" just kick him out of the raid/group, buy him WoW and get a new tank. maybe his DDs are not really DDs ?

when i am allowed to smash more buttons ... i'll do that. if someone doesn't do that because he is to lazy to or he doesnt need to, it's ok ... and i know without grouping with him that he is tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow 4 me.
