    Default +Spell Damage and macroing gear

    There's a slight problem going on if you macro gear in and out while casting, you seem to be losing +spell damage from the very next cast. It's pretty easily reproducible by just macroing equipping gear with casting a spell.

    However, this seems to be only affecting gear with +spell damage on it, as the adornments don't seem to be affected.

    On another note, Sunbolt seems to only take the +spell damage from gear with +spell damage on it, and not adornments that give +spell damage.

    The bug was ever so slightly evident in +healing as well... except out of my 10-11 items the provided +healing, only one of them didn't immediately update examine effects. The Ivy-shroud of Tunare... Out of my 4-5 items that give +healing bonuses without an added adornment, that is the only buggy one.

    Cloak of the Burning Prince should be the same though, correct? It has +damage, but not as an adornment, like you describe. Except I didn't have any problems with it not updating on Test, and it doesn't seem buggy on Live either. Are you certain it's not specific items that have the problem instead of any item that gets +damage without an adornment?

    EDIT:
    Though now that I try it on Live... I cannot get the +healing bug to work reliably any more. At best it takes a few seconds to update. On test, you had to equip another +healing item to get the cloak's effect to work at all. (Maybe casting a heal would have worked too)

    All the above aside, it seems the examine tooltip might not be updating quick enough. The examine window always seems to.

    Anyhow, to my point. It seems that macroing in +damage gear works more or less fine while testing solo and I can't imagine lag affecting it.

    I used a static damage spell(one with no min-max), created a macro that equips 3 +damage items, then casts the spell. The spell was affected by the +damage fine... in fact, better than fine, but I'll explain later.

    I further edited my macro so that it equipped 3 +damage items, cast the spell, then equipped a different 3 items in its place. Again, the damage spell was properly* modified even though I unequipped the modifier items during the casting.

    Now the stipulation I was implying was that I actually gained more from the macro than I should have. As in, casting the damage spell in the middle of the equip macro made the spell do more damage than if I had cast the spell after manually equipping the items. Manually equipping the items makes the spell do the examine window damage, and macroing it gives me more.

    I'm curious if you have any ideas on some spells, with absolutely no swapping gear around or dropping below the recast limit on BOE, randomly drop in damage on the tooltip, even while solo'ing.
