Re: Tan's Crit math
[quote=hearth;1509]Although everyone think GDH is the best DW, I am going to proof that it might not be what you think.
Assuming at 0 Haste and 0 DPS Mod and 20% Crit rate
Dirk of Negativity total swings 31 swings (6 Crit)
25(18,103) + 6(104,133.9)=(450,2575) + (624,803.4)
Total damage = (1074,3378.4) or avg = 2226.2
GDH total 15 total swings (3 Crit)
12(24,215) + 3(219.2,279.5) = (288 - 2580) + (657.6 , 838.5)
Total damage = (945.6,3418.5) or avg = 2182.1
REVISED ASSUMPTION
Basically if GDH Crit it will do Max + Max*R% assuming R is a random between 1 to 30
Dirk of Negativity total swings 31 swings (6 Crit)
19(18,103) + 6(103) + 6(104,133.9)
=(342,1957) + 618 + (624,803.4)
=(1566,3378.4)
= avg 2472.4
GDH total 15 total swings (3 Crit)
9(24,215) + 3(215) + 3(219.2,279.5)
= (216 ,1935) + 645 + (657.6,838.5)
= (1518.6,3418.5)
= avg 2468.55
At 20% Crit rate DoN > GDH but as I can speculate, as you reach a higher Crit rate there will be a break even point, and eventually GDH will have generate DPS Value.
I will explore that on the next post.
(Also I am sure that CA timer will effect the result, but lets leave that till later.)
