    Default Some tips on our dps numbers

    Hi,

    I'm in a casual raiding guild atm (3 days a week raiding) and want some tips on our dps numbers. Who's slacking? Who's doing a good job? Any tips on who's low and who isn't would be much appreciated. We've cleared all the zones except we can't kill curor yet and want to tweak our dps a bit.

    Well, the guard isn't horrible nor is the SK. The troub isn't too bad, the dirges could stand to improve.

    I guess society had missed him when they counted out the citizens
    they build a house of freedom but
    somehow they couldn't fit him in.

    Well you've got to remember we aren't a hardcore raiding guild. We're like a 2nd or 3rd tier raiding guild. Think back to when the expansion first started, like 2 months into it when you first took down tarinax. We're at or just beyond that point atm. Tarinax is dead but we can't burn down curor fast enough or our strategy is wrong.

    About bards. We have our bards in str line atm. They were in agi before and did a lot more damage but they respeced to str to help with curor.

    As for the zerk he's our 2nd tank. We have a 2nd tank group setup to pickup aggro if the tank dies to save a wipe. It's usually:

    Zerk, Coercer, Swash, Defiler, Inquis, Palladin.

    The dps buffs help the swash, palladin and zerk with dps I find and it's a good dps group for the swash and palladin at least. I think our zerk stays in defensive stance.

    What's the best dps group for an illusionist? Atm we have the illusionist with melee dps. The group is usually brigand, illusionist, fury, bruiser, wizard and conj.

    The thing I dont' get is the assassin looks a bit low to me actually from seeing some bragging parses. I honestly don't know the best group to put one in though. Is:

    Wizard, Necro, Conj, Assassin, Warden, Troub a good group for an assassin?

    That will work, but I think the assassin would prefer the brigand spot in your group.. If your tank can hold aggro that is, but the group listed isn't bad.. on int line that's 2 procs to crit from, with haste/deaggro from a troub.. Not much haste, but better than none.

    Troubs don't "need" Strength line but Dirges do.

    Why is the assasin so low? Does he have aggro problems, a bad group or is he just bad at the class?

    374 in Lyceum? That troub is terrible. Troubs should have STR and WIS or they're less effective. It's perfecty reasonable to expect a troub to do up to 800dps in normal zones and up to 1k in Lyceum. You'd do more with AGI, but there's no way any bard should pick it over STR.
