    Default +CA Damage and Inquisitors

    So, Anybody besides me wonder if they have any plans on making +CA damage work for the CA converted nukes priests get?

    Cuz it kinda sucks not having +Spell damage or +CA damage work on them that I'm aware of.

    They aren't combat arts. They are abilities.

    It does kind of suck though.

    The proc items that have a % off a combat art will proc on the priest 'combart arts' so it's weird they don't take +CA damage

    Yeah, the agi mastercrafted rings work.

    It's frustrating.

    +spell damage does influence our CAs that have DoT components.

    It's been a few weeks since I actually checked on it. I will confirm (for post RoK release) when I log back in next. Basically, our CA's that have a DOT component, will recieve an "additional hit" equal to the value of the +spell damage items you have on, upon the first hit of the DOT.

    eg: I often see an extra orange "100" popping up in overhead combat feedback. My only +spell damage gear (normally equipped) is avatar forearms at +100. If I change +spell damage gear, the number I see, changed to match.

    I hope this provides some helpful information.

    They are combat-arts . So far, everything related to CAs affected our CAs as well. Procs, crits , Str bonuses , everything.

    => If the +CA dmg doesnt affect our CA, it 's a bug . (obviously)

    Yes, the DoT part is considered like spell dmg , oddly for me, but the initial strike is a CA working with CA game mechanisms.

    I've noticed the DoT hitting with the +spell damage, as well.

    And update, i dunno when they changed it, but +CA damage is indeed working with our CA's, I put on a +20 CA damage belt and it bumped them up.

    It hadn't been working before with my wife's bruiser's group buff =/

    Probably the reasoning was that you should only have either +spell damage *OR* +CA damage effecting a single skill... since you're now getting both for the same skills, I suggest you get your flame-proof suits ready.

    On a slight update, +CA damage items work, bruiser +CA damage buff doesn't for inquisitors.
