You guys are acting like ranking weapons is dumbing down the game. It isn't and most people now choose the correct weapons to use.


Last time I checked, every class forum has a top gear thread, so what would be the difference?

the difference is that some take an effort to explore the game and find out best gear and combination by interacting with others.

the rest just want /lootbestgearnow


How about we do it with each piece of gear, with best gear being ranked #1. You will never have to compare and think whether to spend dkp on it or not. You will just compare the number on your gloves (#45) with the number on the gloves that just dropped (#23) and voila.

We can then close this forum because why even post?

In the same vein they are about to reduce the number of abiliites to click to 3-4 at most (1 toolbar is the preferred solution). The game is becoming an ez mode piece of shit.

Gear is not Weapons. Weapons have something on them that is supposed to tell you how it compares to other weapons, it just doesn't. Making a number that once meant something mean something again isn't going to change anything, it isn't making anything fucking easymode, and people are still going to look at spread and delay regardless of what the dr says.

Sure, why not. Who really cares what DR is on the weapon if you don't look at the entire weapon. For a priest if it's a 1-239/4.0 delay weapon with some sweet effect on it, that'd be a pretty fucking pimp weapon, even with a DR of 60. But hey, obviously DR means everything and is the lone factor to you to decide whether a weapon is any good.

Hey now, it isnt me here claiming that some attributes of weapons "never really meant anything". I pay attention to them all.

Your example of a priestweapon sounds swell and all, but it doesnt say much about how a melee class would feel about getting a 60DR sabre from that highend raidmod?

Easy example, you need to be at 77% critrate or higher for GDoH to put out more damage than the Bisected Sabre. Draw your own conclusions!
