Re: Avatar of Hate, Broken
It has been like this for a while, but since most raiding guilds are agro to the mob, it's a non-issue. However, the non-contested killing guilds who rarely get a pull on this mob finally get a shot at it, they can see this bug in full effect.
I do not see how killing this mob so gimped would be any sort of accomplishment to anyone, let alone try and justify it. Also, I beleive War's adds do the same thing..if your not agro, they just stand there.

Just my guess though :/

We had a guild on Blackburrow that just killed Avatar of Valor two nights ago for the first time but never cleared TNT, that is why I ask.

From what I hear that avatar along with a few others aren't very difficult. Unless you figure out where to fight TNT, its a pain in the ass. I'm pretty sure once you figure that out the zone is a joke, till then, its not. More frustrating than anything tbh. That same guild has taken out wuoshi months ago also which I've seen repeated can be more difficult than certain avatars. ya a couple of them are tough unless you got a solid steady crue, but with enough work a not so hardcore group could take a majority of them down from what I read. someone can correct me if I'm way off...

Re: Avatar of Hate, Broken
Pretty much right on, except I think you are over stating ToNTs difficulty.

Re: Avatar of Hate, Broken
Even if you are aggro to the adds, they are not locked (atleast initially) to the avatar. So if anyone out of raid is standing closer to adds than the raid is, they will engage them first, and then come to the raid (if they are still alive of course).

To be fair - if it had been SD's pull, would the adds have actually added as well? Regardless of being able to take them should they have come; it's kinda hypocritical to only complain only when someone else is achieving something due to the same bug that everyone else was using previously.
My sympathy for losing a mob that otherwise wouldve been theirs; as for the lack of sportsmanship displayed, shame on you.

Did you two watch the video and read the thread?
As far as "training" them goes: it obviously did not work. If you notice in the video, there's a delay in my pulling of the mobs, where the discussions went like this "FRAPs rolling? in place? okay, pulling." I say discussions because that was my second attempt, the first without having yelled the adds the second with yelling them. The idea of "training" a raid with mobs that should, by all rights, have the mobs already is plain ludicrous.
And, HenryAte, I would've loved to experiment with the encounter but SD has pulled it enough to become KoS to the adds and, well, it died as shown in the video.

Re: Avatar of Hate, Broken
I wouldn't call it training, it's more like a attempt to fix the encounter.
But yeah.. they should really fix the encounter so it will aggro people who don't kill avatars and are non KoS.

Re: Avatar of Hate, Broken
i like how we still dont know which shit guild is the one pulling AoH in the first place, or that none of them have come here to defend their guild as suck. just goes to show how gimp some of these mobs are now if your guild has your shit together. i would want to fucking kill them though if either the crit robe or the stoneskin boots dropped. if there were any 2 items (and only 2, no more) that i would want to use in t8 it would be those 2 jsut because of how huge the procs on them can benefit a toon
