Default Will the combat changes fix this?

For example:

Coercer lvl 70 with all master 1 spells VS a lvl 70 berseker with 6000 mental resist and 6000 magic resist with adept 1 spells (and some people can get the resist like to 10k or more)

Coercer spells will get resisted 9/10 (using master) in the other hand the coercer will only be able to dodge about 3/10 combat arts (adept 1)

As you may notice that have no logic at all and make impossible for mage to duel a melee with resist that high. and for the noobs pls don't say hello debuff!!! since they also get resisted also.

So the question is if the combat change will fix this? i mean following the same example to melee should resist 2/10 and the mage should dodge 8/10 since the melee is using adept 1 and the mage is using master 1.

Your comparing two different things.

Your spells are master one which will give you a slight advantage, usually from 30% to 40% resistability. This is checked against his resists, which are very high. 6K is right around the cap so of course he is gonna resist your spells a lot.

Your error is trying to compare your spells to his combat arts. If you wanna avoid combat arts your gonna have to raise your Avoidance. I am sure if your avoidance was near the cap like his Resists are you would probably avoid 8/10 of his attacks like you want to. Basically with combat arts the difference between ad1 and m1 is just more damage. Ultimately his AR vs your Avoidance is what makes the difference.

In short:
Your spells VS. his resists
His AR VS. your avoidance

That is what you really wanna compare, go work on that and tell us how you fare :P

your a fucking retard. Resists are so trivial to raise compared to Avoidance or mitigation for a mage, in the order of magnitude.

A mage will never hit the "mitigation" cap needed to counter the zerkers Spell Resist cap. EVER. Nor will a Mages Combined Mit + Avoidance even come close to the equivalent advantage that 6-7k of spell resists give.

Yes, the combat changes are "fixing" this. Basically having 6-7k resists will no longer give you 80%+ resists, so you'll be able to land more spells.
