i would now a rather simple fix or rather compromiss.

Every one can hit 100%, but the damage is just reduced.
by like 3% less dmg each level the target is above you.
80 vs 85 = 15% less dmg

Melee class would do more then and casters a bit less overall nearly the same raid dps.

it also applies to spew/entrail abilities, on which the DoT portion will damage the mob, even if the initial attack misses. so to the above person said it applies to debuffs, it also extends to these skills. i can find log files to back this up, which would suggest that the debuffs are indeed applied even when the skill misses. it's a much easier ability to parse with ACT or another combat logger.

What the hell is your problems? You mean to tell me that just because some Assassin or SK didn't top the parse that they cried about it until someone decided to nerf the casters??

What the hell ever happened to the idea of teamwork in an instance rather than just trying to be top on the parse? Wasn't the point of casters such as Wizards and Warlocks supposed to be extreme DPS? And now you are getting that taken away?

How do all of you plan on taking down those epic mobs now? I can assure you that without the hits of casters, the difficulty of it will at least triple. The guild likes taking me along to big zones for the simple reason that I CAN deliver hits on orange mobs with good hits.

Why does it effect you? If you REALLY want to kill something that fast, go kill some grey mobs or something. Don't take away from those of us that work with teamwork and want fun more so than loot.

If topping on the DPS parse is just so valueable to you, group with some 20s or 30s. I'm sorry if I am talking in circles but this just dazes me entirely. If you want DPS like a caster, then damn it, make a caster! If you want DPS like a caster, go spend your plat on insane gear; I don't care.

What you are asking for is taking away the majority of the crowd control brought on by casters. Thanks a lot -.-

Difficulty will at least triple? Quit pulling numbers out of your ass. Fact is, the caster "nerf" is live and fact is also that the hit rate went down by less than a percent. There's some numbers for you.

Theres already been an adjustment made. Looking at parses over the weekend, my hit rates (as a caster) are back to where they were before this "nerf".

You are right, every class SHOULD be able to bring the same to the table. Unfortunately, DPS is not what all classes bring. Casters, especially Wizards, are ALL about DPS. We don't do anything else. We do not heal, tank, debuff or anything else. We nuke everything in site.
