Ok, this question is to the uber Coercers who are getting zonewide parses between the 700-1000 range. First, lemme tell you that i am the Coercer for the MT group, and as such i went down the STA AA line and maxed out heal crits, the rest of my AA's went into the AGI line for super fast casting. my highest zonewide parse so far is ~500 (all my damage spells are master 1 level and INT is maxed, i also have 3 damage proc items i wear)

Question: what order do you cast spells on single target mobs?
my order:
chronomotion
marred psyche
breakdown
cataclysmic mind
spell scourge
auspex
vicious torment
arcane augur
stroke
perilous gaze
ego torrent
sonic boom (thinking i should use this one earlier to get more uses out of it, maybe after casting reactives)
rinse and repeat

Question: what order do you cast on multi-mob encounters?
my order:
chronomotion
spell scourge
perilous gaze
ego torrent
sonic boom
fill in with single target spells while AE's refresh or try for AE HO's
rinse and repeat

I don't really have any speicifc orders when casting spells, mostly just spamming stuff as fast as possible =p. But you may want to remove cataclysmic mind from your list. I have never found much use for this spell dps wise since DOF.

I agree.

Usually for single targets, I do:

Marred Psyche
Auspex
Spell Scourge
Breakdown
Perilous Gaze
Vicious Torment
Stroke

Then repeat whatever is still up. Unless I'm soloing or in a group, then I don't bother with Marred Psyche, and usually skip the AE ones (Spell Scourge and Perilous Gaze) and throw in some stuns or roots depending on what I'm doing.

For grouped mobs:
Sonic Boom (especially on a raid cuz grouped mobs die fast!)
Spell Scourge
Perilous Gaze
Ego Torrent

Then I throw in some random single targets or stuns/debuffs if on a raid till PG and SS are back up, and make sure those are always on, hit ET and SB whenever they refresh.

Oh yeah, and for Chel'drak, its Harmonious Link ftw... throw it on everyone I can lol.

I don't claim to hit anywhere near 1k dps except on "that one fight" in Lyceum lol. 1800 my best on that one! I usually hover in the 550-700 dps range zonewide.

so on grouped mobs, you dont worry about getting the shit stomped outta you if you cast sonic boom 1st? or do you just give the tank a lil extra time to gain agro? seems to me casting the less agro inducive spells 1st then sonic boom keeps me alive longer and prevents me from standing around doing nothing till tank builds agro. i have no problem parsing between 700-1000 on individual fights, its usually the other fights where im required to do other than dps that brings my zonewide parse down.

I am usually raiding, so there is usually enough time because I usually hang back for the initial pull, then run forward to drop sonic boom once he's in place. The cast time itself is long enough that the tank is usually firmly holding agro on all mobs. And if not, i eat shit and get yelled at lol.

LOL,ok ill try dropping cataclysmic mind from my cycle and casting sonic boom straight off on multi mob encounters and see if that helps my DPS any, thx

Don't forget brock's thermal shocker and/or your mastery strikes if applicable and if you're able to get in there.

Dunno about AE encounters, i tend to start with chrono cast and EGO torrent before sonic boom. But i guess it all depends on play style and type of encounter.

yeah always chrono 1st, and i guess ego torrent would speed up sonic booms casting time a bit, i can try it both ways and see which works better for me, death-wise
