Yeah a necro should never be in a group without a troub, if that does happen because your one mage grp is full might as well dump the necro and get something else.

most mage dps groups I see tend to roll like this:
Wiz
Lock
Necro
Conjy
Troub
Fury
with a Illy casting syngerism/tandem from a separate group.

I'd like to see SOE implement some kind of raid bonus either it be for a the raid as a whole or independent buff for each class, if and only if each of the 24 classes is covered in raid. Just something to make it viable to have all the separate classes in a raid.

Aye Tizzle, this has been asked for before... but they have enough trouble balancing for the solo and heroic game to come up with 24 unique and most importantly desirable raid buffs for each class.

I really think you could roll with one of each class, if you truly wanted to. I'm sure you could do well enough with the set up I posted to be able to parse decent numbers, and even have an MT and OT group set up quite well. But raiding is generally about min/max, and some classes just have such great things to bring to a raid it's worth it to bring 2 of them (troubadors, dirges, illusionists come to mind)

So you put your illy in some shitty group and then tell them they can't buff their group but have to buff your precious mage group over there? Where is TC gonna go? What about the hit to the illusionists personal dps they take by being in a group without a troub and/or warlock (hell wizard too if i can get all 3!)? Is that made up for by 5 tandems and an IA on whatever melee you have in that poor illusionists group?

As I said, that is the mage dps group I usually see. The facts I have to work with include: enchanters arent topping sorc's/summoners regularly enough on the parse for guilds I see to give a rat's ass about thier "personal dps". Thats not to say they cant and in some uber guilds do rock, but that definitely isnt the norm.

You only got room for 4 mage dps in that group, who you going to dump?

you should see some better illusionists though (NOT GOING WITH THE 1 CLASS PER RAID) but i \ see an illus on top multiple parse's per raid, group usually wiz wiz lock illus troub fury, i know its stacked but seriously even illus in the non mage group should parse 3k+?

So you have no summoners? Or just use them for hearts/shards?

As I said there is a huge divide for the top dps illusionists and your standard guild raiding illusionist.

yeah definitely work with what you got, in the absence of summoners, put the illusionist directly in the mage grp np.

but no summoners, brawlers, assassins..what do you have? lol, you load up on rangers and rogues?
