Default Aerilik = Lockeye 2.0

(Aeralik) Re:broken dps raid mechanics

So, instead of fixing melee hit rates, you are breaking mage hit rates, in effect causing debuffs to be harder to land on inc, nerfign enchanters by a huge amount by crippling the ability to maintain perp 5, reducing even further taunt resists, and lowering further still scout dps because ca hit rates share spell hit rates. Of course, since you are stubborn and dont take any input ever, no post is going to change your decision, but maybe when you cause half of the end game communtiy to leave the game, maybe you will hang your head in shame and leave as hated as lockeye, or just be asked politly to pack up your things and gtfo, either way, this goes live and the chances i dont cancel my account to play WoW full time, are about .05%.

That is the most discouraging thing I've seen posted by a Dev in a long time.

And Avatars, aka OJ, are due tomorrow....

I pretty much agree, I dunno what's the point playing when your spells are getting resisted over and over or your attacks miss over and over again. Easy way to fix shit doesnt mean the best way.

C'mon, would you really expect anything less from SOE? You should be used to it by now.

Saw that post earlier, I had a lot of respect for Aeralik in the past, but he just pissed away all of that respect with that comment. Good job on fucking the game even more numbnuts, and here I thought you would do much better than Lockeye.

I read the linked comments:

Quote:
first of all take my comments from other sites in line with the scope of the topic. I like to be overly sarcastic on a certain one so often I don't mean things literally which you can see if you read the whole thread.

Second, I am looking to balance out the melee vs casters in vp a bit. Orange mobs are meant to be difficult to hit for any class so the casters can expect to see some hit rate changes to bring them in line a bit more.
First, thanks for the subliminal plug for EQ2Flames Aeralik!

Next, people have been bitching that mage spells are landing 100% of the time on orange mobs in VP, while melee hits are missing about 80% of the time in VP.

So help me understand this then. How can anyone then complain if melee hits are adjusted to hit more, and mages are adjusted to be more fair and hit less?

LFG read what was said and then tell me where the increase to melee hit rate was?

He said mage hit/land rates were going to be adjusted to be in line with melee hit/land rates, which are shit right now.

*cry* mobs are too easy *cry*

later

*cry* youre making spells land less. how are we supposed to keep debuffs up 100% and how are illusionists supposed to keep perp 5 up 100% so now we cant dps out of our league *cry*

so where does it end?
