Why reopen the devastation fist can of worms?
Ok, so now I'm going to start petitioning that you give us back the original devastation fist and give us a new ability to compensate for upgrading everyone else's Bloodlines spell.
You've effectively removed all usefulness you had given it by upgrading it in the first place. 5k damage to anything that lives long enough to use it on? The damage is so low that it's not worth the stifle, let alone 500 mana.
What was so wrong about it? Because it was hitting particularily high hp mobs for 100k? Ok, it's a little much, but a simple bunt with the nerf bat would have sufficed, not a freaking grand slam.

lol... they seriously nerfed that spell down to a 5k hit with a 10sec stiffle?, holy shit... thats ONE pair of autoattack swings from 2 decent dualwielders... wtf?

could you state where you got your information from? most recent patchnotes posted are the testnotes with the defiler fix which dont mention dev-fist at all.

In the big "ZOMG NURF DEV FIST!11!!!11one!11" thread on the official forums someone quotes a patch-note looking thing about dev fist being "fixed", but I can't find that in any of the update notes, live or test. They're also saying it's already in game if you check the CA description. I'll have to log my bruiser tonight. Hopefully I can still dev fist the wall in KJ . . .

Theres 2 ways to look at Dev Fist right now. Yes it was nerfed to hell from it's previous state. Now it hits much weaker, costs an obscene amount of power, and overall it sucks. But look how it used to be originally?
You used to not even have the option to use it on heroics ad epics, and now at least you have the option. So while it now costs way more mana do do barely more than it did before, it does, indeed, do more than before.
Still it sucks. I wish they would just let us PICK one of the existing bloodlines spells. That or give us upgrades to Dev fist at the appropriate levels like the other classes received.

Dev fist really has been nerfed silly for epic and named encounters, and is basically useless in those situations due to being terribly inefficient, but it's still a handy tool for tanking/off-tanking or DPSing in heroic group settings, or when soloing.
When tanking you can use it to grab emergency aggro or tag an add or finish off a mob quickly so you can move onto an add or something. You just gotta know when to use it so that you aren't left helpless.
My biggest peeve about the way they changed it, is that it no longer scales against the encounter so as you level it gets worse and worse compared to your other attacks. That single 4k attack for 500 power and a 10 sec stiffle is gonna get worse and worse as the tiers go by.
If it were up to me, Dev Fist would be like this:
5 min recast (up from 3 min)
300 power (down from 540)
7 sec stiffle (down from 10)
100% dmg on solo mobs
25% dmg on heroic mobs
5% dmg on named encounters (up to 50k dmg max)
1% dmg on epics (up to 75k dmg max)
No critical hits
I think that's fair. Lower power cost, longer reuse timer, shorter stiffle, and it's useful and scalable throughout the tiers without making the babies cry that we get insane hits.

5% on heroic named? It's as suck as current version since most heroic named is about 100k-150k hp. 5% hp is only 5k-7.5k and the reuse timer is from 3 to 5 minutes in your proposal. It's another nerf rather than fix.

Considering harmtouch is about ~7k (and can crit) and on a 15min timer. Although technically it needs a boost.
And the best assassin big atks are 20-30k.
I think asking for a 75k atk on epics would still have people complaining.
Really i dont need a 50-75k atk. Just something that makes me want to cast it would be nice. Remove the stifle? Raise the non crit hit to 8-10k on named/epics? Something, but all in all Dev fist is one ability i complain about the least.

Ahaha, it got nerfed? That sucks. It use to make me envy bruiser power as a sk, now meh not so much. I'm just kind of sad for you. All the classes are going to be gimp except Guardians. Soon, guardians will get self-heals and they won't need anyone.

Thats odd, because they keep giving wizard these horseshit stats like +5, +10% power to drop huge ass manaburns that no self respecting raid wizard has.
