Default Re: Base damage cap?

im still confused as to how to calculate the cap for + ca dmg because i have no frame of reference
with crit or DA or haste or dps mod its easy because there are respective caps whether they be 100% or the number 200 equaling 125%
and where this is frustrating is comparing a piece of gear with any + ca dmg to another piece that either has a different amount of + ca dmg or none at all but has a % crit, DA, haste or dps mod
i dont want to just rule those pieces out (ie my set shoulders from vp that after the vp gear change will have 100 ca dmg) but at this point the + ca dmg number might as well be written in chinese because understanding it is impossible right now for me
and when trying to find the best piece of gear per slot this is really insanely frustrating
does anyone even KNOW what it is or is everybody just guessing right now?
