<--Casual Raid Guild with varying degrees of skill that has cleared T1 working on T2

I would say an avg parse is about 40k and on the good days we break 50k sometimes.

Bad days are 30k arena.

Course that's on trash, on certain encounters your DPS may be a lot lower just because of the type of fight it is.

Maybe some advise in steps to take to wake everyone up.

1 take some time, read the different class forums and find out what dps each class does. (both for HC raids and non).

2 Make a post in your guild forums with the expected average dps of classes, and the HC dps. tell your members they should strife for the the maximum, but should relearn their class if they can not do the expected.

3 start posting and monitoring the ZW parses. Those far away from the min. expected (don't make it to high but do make it a shock for some) are elligeble for some tells and reference to their class sections on these boards.

These two steps is what made our casual guild kill our first orange con in PP about 2-3 years ago

26k is a good day for the casual raid guild im in on a pvp server that is a Q side only guild.

The lack of having a bard in every group (we are lucky to have 1 bard at all at times) is the number one factor in the gimp raid parsing for us.

Having odd group setups is what kills most real casual raid guilds from all i have seen in the last few years of this game.

Even in the ideal group set up, there is a huge divide between those that suck and top flight players of each class, in my experience there is little in between, either they get it or dont/never will.

Sad really.

We average 45-55k dps depending on the trash/encounter. You -have- to find a way to double your dps or start cutting some fat because with 26k dps you stand no chance of beating any t2 shit. Honestly, with 26k dps you will have a hard time killing t1 shit unless your healers are awesome and can last twice as long as they need to.

Your guilds dps is bad enough that I would say you need to start removing the worse offenders and replace them. If you have an assassin doing 1500dps then can his ass and grab one that can do 4000+ dps. It sounds to me like you have -alot- of retards in your guild who cant dps for shit. Class make-up and raid setup can effect overall dps too but with numbers that low its obvious you have some flat out terrible players.

We had a similar problem about 6 months ago and the only way we found to fix it was give them a choice. Fix their problem, or find a new guild. We told them that we are going to be going over ACT after every raid and picking apart peoples dps. If they are found lacking and show no improvment then we were going to shit can them. The numbers went up over night. You will be amazed how many people in your guild are prob capable of doing twice the dps they are now they are just lazy fucks who would rather sit in the back and auto attack all night long. It can be uncomfortable calling people out but if you want to progress then you have no choice.

My personal advice to you is just start kicking the worse offenders. The others will step their game up real quick.

the problem with this scenario is that, in the first place if they were talking about quality players already, thier DPS would not be where it is, Second is this a revolving raid force or do you have 24 set raiders.. If you start booting folks and your not in a progressing guild already, replacements do not come quickly. If your not in VP already.. then getting a decent replacement is harder then getting a hooker to give you a comp blowjob in Vegas (metaphore BTW).

Guilds can and do fall apart in T2 for this very reason, either you train what you have to be better, find some way to hold thier feet to the fire, dock DKP or something and get the raid force that you have now to get better or soon your going to find that you have holes in your raid force big enough to drive a mack truck through and then the bleeding will begin, those that are left will leave because there are not enough to progress, don't have right classes to beat the end mob Etc.

Just be carefull when people tell you to just boot them, although this would be the optimal solution , if you don't have apps beating down your door to get in.. think twice before ya do it.

Heh, I've done 6 person groups that handle 15-20k DPS.... Guess it's about time to 1 group PR...

You are a casual guild, so don't start threatening to boot people. Just post parses. Post them to a parse channel and tell everyone you know to join it so the slackers can be ridiculed.

chipples, I was about to say pretty much the same thing, we've done 10-15k parses in COA. So, maybe we should try to 2-group PR.
