You're going to need more than group healers to keep an Illusionist alive.

Haven't yet. But then again I use my reverence on the illusionist when I have one in my group that has a choker so that may be playing a large part.

for T8 have to say best solo healing mage group would be Fury for most zones due to the amount of noxious cures are needed dont get that much out of them but a lot of Int....
Inqusitors would be great for a mix mage/scout group

3- A lot of them, need to be harass to put Lucidity on you (wizard). When I ask 3 times (first in tell), second group wide, third telling the Raid LEader, to get that buff... Am I a mendiant? Do they want to keep lucidity for their own DPS? (one more slot on hotbar for a tell macro!!)
The fury resurrection spell is kind of slow. Compare to the rezzing of a Templar (almost instant!).

1) If your Fury is letting you die just to make parse then kick your fucking Fury and get a new one.
2) Why the fuck is your Fury even trying to rez? Why do you expect her to? Necro and Dirge can rez just fine, not to mention faster, and leaves your healers free to keep on, um, healing.
3) Did you get any response back? Maybe you were already near cap? Maybe her concentration slots were full? Maybe she just didn't like you? Then again... maybe you need to be looking for a new Fury.
It doesn't really seem to me like you came in here looking for an answer to "Which healer is used for caster group?" more than you're looking for an excuse not to use a Fury (or maybe, more specifically, your Fury).

Re: Since T8 Raid, which healer class is used for caster group?
Used to be a no-brainer to use a Fury and anything else didn't make much sense. Now that wizzies get to the +INT cap themselves I don't get so worked up about it. Squishies tend to do more dps when they aren't dead...
- if they draw aggro a number of healers may be helping targetting via the mob but they probably will get one shotted
- shammies and clerics buff their HP far more + have some protective capabilities against aes (druid is about 4-800hp, others are 1.5-2k+)
- overloaded heals and heal proc items can heal up mages very quickly now

Re: Since T8 Raid, which healer class is used for caster group?
voted fury but only because we have to many furys and only 1 inquisitor and usually 2 clerics total in raid average, and we usually have the second cleric in the OT group (inquisitor) and thus make it a melee dps group as well. like pinski said at start though, it really is a hard choice. if i had my choice between the 2 i would probably do something along the lines of inquis in 1 group with a ranger (illy buffs) and the fury in the other caster group with say a brig (feral no proc on ranged = FTL). if it were a question of purely who is best at healing them though i would say it depends a lot more on the player than the class like always, as i have seen every healer class keep mages up just fine. deciding factor for me if all things are perfect in setup would ultimately be, if i had to choose, what would increase the raids dps the most. if the fury sucks at dps but is great at healing then probably put the inqisitor in since they would give a bigger dps boost to the raid that way overall, but if the fury was a dps god then i would probably give them the caster group due to how much it does for them

Re: Since T8 Raid, which healer class is used for caster group?
I thought the concept of pure mage groups was put to rest a while ago. Do you mean a DPS group? In which case i want a fury in one and the inquisi in the other. However i voted Inquisi as that group's caster seem to do more damage than the fury's.

Honestly, a Fury is kind of shitty for buff-wise, but they also do increase the DPS of the group the 2nd most, behind Inquisitors, but they have their DPS increased the most by the csater-based group. So, it's a very hard choice.

QF the E I always forget about the poor inquisitors dps when Im thinking about this.
If you have a necro in there, go fury, if not let the fury and inquis argue it out.

Re: Since T8 Raid, which healer class is used for caster group?
imo cleric's are very good in clothie groups, since several aoe's can one shot, HP is a pretty nice thing to have for little squishies.... as well as divine recovery...
esp on mobs like pawbuster a templar in clothie group means sanctuary as well (if jestered then multiple sanctuarys) for them on top of signets. HoT's are nice but templar in nem-anhk can group heal a ton with overloaded heal proc gear on.
but when the clothie group isn't taking dmg the fury int buff is often preferred.
