Re: Since T8 Raid, which healer class is used for caster group?
I still prefer fury in mage groups. Not necessarily for the INT buffs, but they have fast heals so can help your group recover very fast after an AOE, and if they keep an AA buffed Hibernate up it will give an extra heal boost to the group when aforementioned AOE goes off.
Not to mention it's good for the fury's DPS. Like it or not they're capable of achieving higher DPS than most healers, outside of some very well played melee specced mystics or templars against undead. When the fury's not healing, they can be DPSing and being in the mage group gives that a nice buff.

As a caster all the fury gives me is int, and considering that I am pretty much at the soft cap on int anyways that dosn't really add that much dps.

TBH I don't think our Inquis could handle our full mage group with Chokers. Even fury tonight was going crazy with me (Ilus) & Assassin both using them (Wizzy had also but they take a lot less to keep up, same with Necro who can just about lifetap heal self) Ilus & Assassin together in group with Chokers takes some mad heals to keep alive. Between Assassin's casting + recovery timers totaling only 2/3 of a second per CA + Ilus casting nearly as fast & taking an extra 25% dmg from choker due to our int line the healer actually has to watch pretty closely to keep us alive. I know our Fury was actually getting pissed tonight because infusion was the only way she could dps very much because of having to chain heal us. (of course then we decided to see who could dmg ourselves the fastest)

Apparently I need to get back in and farm SOF some more for that choker, our fury has entirely too much time to dps :P

Fury works great in a squishy (caster) group due to their Heal Over Time spells and fast casting and reuse timers.
If you're short on scouts then TortoiseShell can also come in handy for helping the group to survive mass AoE's from mobs.
The speed of heals makes a big difference if a caster happens to get aggro.

Furies fail when mobs start to AE for real amounts unless the casters are stacked up on HP/Sta gear.
