If a mage gets hit for 12k you're doing something wrong.

i like an inquis, with gear this expansion im down to 2 pieces of proc gear and they are both already up 90% of the time, so a templar is useless, and a mystic, roa woopty doo good for a sorc thats about it, either way, a inquis and a fury does more for the group, a mystic does more for one member of the group.

Dps wise, inquis will add the most, with so much int on gear the fury itn buff is useless, you get more out of there melee proc buff. heal wise, it really doesnt matter, you pull aggro on anything in rok you are going to die.

Between Assassin's casting + recovery timers totaling only 2/3 of a second per CA + Ilus casting nearly as fast & taking an extra 25% dmg from choker due to our int line the healer actually has to watch pretty closely to keep us alive. I know our Fury was actually getting pissed tonight because infusion was the only way she could dps very much because of having to chain heal us. (of course then we decided to see who could dmg ourselves the fastest)
I feel sorry for your raid because I can keep an assassin and group up just fine with chokers, until he gets goofy and doesnt joust a big AE with mediocre resists while spamming CAs. I could probably try harder to keep him up, but then he wont learn from his mistakes.

Well, a Mystic does more for 3 people in the group. Double-Attack buff for the Troub+Rogue/Predator in group, then the fact that they hit their epic clicky and everybody's full power, and then RoA. Then Ancestry. God damn, it's funny how much more a Mystic does for a Mage group than any other class, especially with the overpowered chain helm that regenerates a ward!

If you're short on scouts then TortoiseShell can also come in handy for helping the group to survive mass AoE's from mobs.

The speed of heals makes a big difference if a caster happens to get aggro.
I don't know what the hell you are raiding but 99.9% of the time, the caster gets 1 shotted with melee auto-attack. Furies having the fastest heals really will not do much.

Not to mention, quite a bit of the new gear dropping from raids is having "this effect cannot be modified but by direct means" is kind of making blessings and such less and less effective.
