Defilers buff more overall health, while Mystics buff more overall Stamina.

Since most MTs will be near the softcap if not well over it for Stamina, with all things equal, a defiler will give more overall health.

At least, that is why we put the defiler over mystic in the MT group.

HP Buffs and Tendrils is why Defiler takes the MT spot.
A Mystic will do just as well in that spot if you have no Defiler.

Defiler should be in a MT group simply because they are far less versatile than mystics, a mystics can operate in MT grp, OT group and do some pimp dps with a scout group.

The days of defilers lauding it over mystics is dead, yes defilers should be in the MT grp but because of a class weakness not because they are the 'better' class. I'd go as far as to say that a mystic could be classed as a better healer with their upgrade to Torpor in T8, along with Ancestry making shit liike overloaded healing go off a silly amount of times.

Just an opinion.

Put your best Shaman in the MT group, whether they are Defiler or Mystic. If you have two equal players, use the Defiler.

I disagree. In a case where two equal Shaman are being considered a Defiler still offers more to the MT group than a Mystic. Not a lot more, but enough to make them the choice.

VotA, direct HP, Tendrils . . . all things a Mystic cannot do as well or at all.

Did you? His statement was the Mystic went in the OT group because of things the Mystic brought to that group, not because of what a Defiler brought to the MT group.
