defiler vs mystic MT group - Page 3

Look..I am a mystic and have for a longtime been an endgame raiding mystic. Mystics are awesome, we have great versatility but at the end of the day defilers get a couple things that make them better for a MT group. Primarily being able to cure during stun. That shit is huge..bottom line.

That said, I can buff the MT within a few hundered hp's of a defiler. I can heal just as good (dps spec'd) as a defiler and maybe better if I spec'd for pure healing.

Power isn't an issue so I don't want to hear about cannibalize, it just doesn't mean shit. I can cast non-stop for most fights and not even have to use half of my clickies.

Given that, they have some MT based spells that edge them into the best choice (if they are competent players) of the MT group.

Like it was said though..Either class can fill the role successfully.

I'm a better mystic than most defilers are defilers! So there, put me in the MT group for pure ownage.

+1215 healing +62% Heal crit self buffed ftw!

Anyhow....Mystics are badass. However, Pinski hit the nail on the head near the beginning of this thread. With Tendrils being group only, this discussion is moot for now. Does it suck? Yup. Is it gonna change? Nope.

Besides, it is more fun beating people on the heal parse from the OT Group. You can pick on them ceaselessly.

We've killed everything with our Mystic in MT group back in T7. In the beginning of T8 we switch the Defiler in MT because Defilers can break the stun and our Mystic can do great dps in OT/melee group. .

I agree with the consensus. Defiler in MT group.

The only reason we used our Mystic so much in the MT group was just because he ROCKED as a player. Once we got a well played defiler in the guild, we started using him instead. We had a hard time keeping a good Inquisitor in the guild for our melee group so our melee gladly took the mystic as our healer. (plus being a monk, the Inqu's haste didn't do me much good LOL)

The point is that the advantage of putting the mystic in the OT group far outweighs the "disadvantage" of putting him in the MT group.
