Put this on our Guard MT for the last named in PR tonight (handy if your short on healers :P). Had ~ 72% avoid 36% block full parry adorns yadda not my best but still managed to break 13k avoidance

37% of the times the MT avoided a hit I was the one doing the avoiding; I'll dig out the parse if I can be bothered.

Monk's avoidance FTW. For me the numbers stack more like 35% monk, 55% me(guard) 10% templar except for fights where monk jousts out or get kicked around alot.

But still having both a monk and a temp means I have almost double the avoidance on some encounters, that can't be a bad thing, can it?

You'd think so, but try it out sometime.

depends on the level of mobs and what stance the monk use.

Against undebuffed mobs uncontested avoidance shines; however once the mob is debuffed correctly a monk will avoid more for the tank; this is true even for the person granting their avoidance.

So the big question is you prefer more avoidance once the mob is debuffed or more avoidance initially.

Keep in mind that your Monk's avoidance could have a 5% hate transfer to the tank as well if the Monk is specced for it.

Avoidence buffs can be cast / changed mid fight if you're willing for the hassle.

I used to say pally because of the uncontested difference. Then, I tried the monk buff at the advice of others and saw the outrageous avoidance numbers on ACT.

Monk, monk, monk...

No, Divine Aura does nothing for avoidence. It's only a partial stoneskin. It has no effect on avoidence transfers.
