Ok, so they're making us do the L&L's to get the master smites. I'm not too thrilled about it, but I understand why they did it. (It does make sense, if you think about it.)

Can I kill greys to get the L&L's finished or do I have to mentor down to get the updates?

You can kill greys for the auto updates, as well as for the clicky "examine" parts, since they are all body drops.

However, if you want AA from the L&L quests, I recommend killing greys/greens to get your auto updates and body parts you can't find on the broker, and then mentoring before you examine the body parts to make the quest green. I was getting about 10% AA for each L&L quest I completed this way.

I'm glad they made the change, but I wish they'd ahve added L&Ls for the EoF stuff when it went live. Hopefully we'll see minotaur, clockwork, etc. soon.
