Yep yep, in heroic content, reactives work better, but then again, heroic content doesn't really need discussing.

Re: Heal parse question
I'm glad this conversation got started because i feel that most people don't understand the mechanics behind the different heal types.
I play a templar these days and was a defiler for many years, i can't tell you frustrating it is seeing how poorly the reactive mechanic works with less frequent large value hits. its just stupid.
I was hoping that we would eventually get a more dynamic flexible reactive heal that reactively heals for a % of damage taken, or acts more like repent just without the ward component. I don't think we should get all wards and screw the mystics/defilers of the world, but i wish our reactives would be more in line for the content we are provided.
Its because of these mechanics that proc heals/wards make up for such a large portion of our healing.

Re: Heal parse question
What I like about group/ raiding with Templar in MT is that they compliment me as a shaman. I know the heal parse does not reflect it in kind, but the fact that my wards can take the intial brunt of the dmg and the reactive can help mit the rest of the dmg, much less over all direct healing needs to be done. Through the regen from the druids in and very effective over all team oriented heal combo. On the individual basis for heroic content does it really matter any combination of healers are effective for the most part. Its just for the heavy hitting raid content that it really matters.

Re: Heal parse question
A cleric, shaman and druid walk into a bar ......
Heroic content does need to be discussed because I really fucking hate joining a TSO instance grp and not being able to keep all these shitty legendary geared tanks alive.
All that bullshit about all healers all being able to perform thier intended function as healers is just that ... bullshit.
Try this one on for size ... Go do every TSO instance with 1 tank - Brawler tank and 1 healer - druid healer. Add in legendary gear and you have a recipe for disaster.
Tell me how far you get.

I really hope you don't think a shaman can do any better at keeping a poorly geared tank up in a TSO instance.

the druid looks at the cleric and says "OOO someone below full hps! I'm useful!"

Re: Heal parse question
Would be nice if, like how Wards function, reactives healed the target for the remainder of charges on the reactive. At least then if your target is at 20% health, but not getting hit, and the reactive timer runs out, it will then heal him for the 5 or 10 charges on that reactive as if he were hit.
It's only fair.

Re: Heal parse question
They should do that as an AA for inquisitors to buff them a little further.
