I've been far more concerned about getting my STA/HP and Power Regen up than worrying about my wis/int caps. If raiding in EQ1 was any indication of the way EQ2 might go, then having a cleric that's alive and regenning mana is far more important than a dead one with 30% left in their pool. Besides, I figure that priest gear has plenty of wis anyway so it naturally increases all by itself.

The changes sound good. Here's to hoping there's actually a good raid progression in EoF to use them in.

I may have missed the point entirely but most well equipped mages should have been at the t7 cap the in t6 (510).

I just pulled out a few lines and have no idea how the changes are really going to affect the top end but every mage is pretty much the same at the moment whether they be fully fabled or not master spells are the big difference (procs obviously)

IMO there should be a fucking huge gap between dirk diggler logging in 3 hrs per week and a hardcore geek playing 40hrs per week.

If this change means that 20 mages worldwide can hit the int cap then its a good change (imo) if it means that 10,000 mages will all be at the cap in 3months then bye bye.

One other thing mentioned about well equipped toons being able to solo mobs easier you god damn right i want to be able to cruise round 1 shotting heroic mobs that should be my reward for raiding everynight!!!! Shit soe i forgot the reason i raid every night is so i can be the same as every mage on the server thanks soe ur the greatest.

The current stat cap is what you should be hating. Right now, a complete set of Mastercrafted will get a mage to stat cap. You raiding 40 hours a week and full fable will get you...to stat cap. Fun isn't it?

By increasing the stat cap to nearly double, it puts it out of reach for most. How do you think the average player is going to be able to get items that average 52 points to a stat in each slot?

I heard a rumor that the loot from EoF raid mobs will be roughly equivalent to Chel'drak or Matron loot. Maybe different procs though. So I don't think you'll need to worry about anyone, even with the best gear, hitting the stat caps. They're going to be crazy high and unattainable, so you'll get benefits from any upgrade.

Ill say that the loot from EoF should be on par with matron or chel'drak or some of the higher end gear that drops off easier mobs. I will however say be prepared to shit a brick on Nov 14th when you log on. This brick will not be a good brick until you actually get into the game and mess around with the new mechanics and encounters.

I was told last night by a respectable dev; "You will take one step back for two steps forward." this is for those with high end gear now. Those with low end gear will probably take a small step forward and those with average gear will see little to no change. I just hope all this is true.
