My guild actually uses an excel sheet for this. We have a min DoT damage, Max DoT damage and a DoT tick field for this, because adding up a pure DoT takes too much time when you can just add 3 extra fields and do the math thru the program/file

Because some dots such as enchanter dots have huge nukes at the experation of the dot. If you sit and do the math you find some of those nukes are worth waiting for some are not. Although yes in general sense your correct.
Personally I would like to either just see a simple excell spreadsheet that can handle this liek you discuss or an actual program, but I do not currently have the time to write an app for this.
