basically any dps combined with a healer would be good. furies and inquis have some melee dps, so one of them combined with a melee dps would be even better. and then furies do the best dps of the healers, so a melee dps with a fury would probably be even better. and then a brigand adds debufs thats going to let the fury do more dps too, so probably fury brigand is best.

duoing to 80... so solo questlines? all you care about is ripping through solo mobs and the occasional easy heroic, which brigands can do without any outside help. so brigand plus whatever. but thats only if you care about getting to 80 fastfastfast with no regard for anything else.

a better mindset would be "it doesnt take long to get to 80.. what do we really want to play".

fyi, if you know what the fuck you're doing and dont scrub it up, a shield specced brigand + warden can duo fairly difficult dungeon content. i leveled my brig through the mid 60's with a warden friend in mistmoore catacombs... heroic content, multiple mob encounters, orange con to me and red to him. we rocked it. =p

hmmm.....wel first i do know wtf im doing, and have no intentions of noobing it up, and i dont care to get to 80 asap, but when i do get to 80, i want to have decent knowledge of my class, as well as a nice 150+ aa when i hit 80. this also meaning neither of us really want to play a class we already have, and would like to try something new

for me, i was considering playing, Zerker, illu, or bard
and then my friend was considering, non-druid healer

and the best combo i came up with was, Zerker/Templar
me bieng zerker for some dps as well as not dieing in 2 seconds, then the templar cause they decent dps (with right aa) and can heal really well

but i could see me doing bard/cleric. and the illy would be hard to keep alive imo, although with crowd control, stuns/mez/root its not like im getting hit much anyway

so any thoughts on that?

and thanks for ur input so far

inquis>temp if you do the zerker/plateheal duo.

My main's an 80 troub, and yes they are a blast to play but....bard/temp is going to be slow going on alot of things tbh.

Shadowknight/Dirge imo. When it comes to leveling you want to pull large groups of solo mobs, which is ideal for SKs. The two remaining cockblock while leveling is mana regen to keep churning, and runspeed to complete all the fedex style quests. (probably 50% of your time spent soloing is just running around out of combat) The dirge offers both of those, in addition to providing rez and ghetto heals.

That said, if you want to go with a two person team thats best suited for taking on heroics, you pretty much have to go healer/tank or healer/brigand. But you'll have alot of downtime with mana regen, and probably wouldn't level as quickly as you would on solo quests.

Runspeed is irrelevant... mounts are stupid cheap and work for questing, and just use totems (or disregard it) for dungeons. You'd want the bard for the combat related buffs/debuffs, not the runspeed or mana regen.

If your goal is to duo heroic content and you're looking for the best mix of safety and kills per hour, then brigand+healer is really the best choice by far. Spend the 10p and 3 hours and level tinkering for feign death on both chars as well. Brigs can also AA spec into a 100% FD.

Outside of a full group or raid environment where you'd be receiving a large range of DPS buffs, shield (STA) spec for brigands is the best way to solo/duo level them. Brigands have the self buffs and AA tools to allow for a pretty amazing "tank build". They also happen to be the best self contained burst DPS machines in the game... nothing comes close to Dispatch/Enfeeblement when you're concerned with dropping a ^^^ ASAP. Protip: in multi ^^/^^^ encounters, Double Up those two debuffs onto the other target for maximum efficiency.

Based on the nature of how a defensive specced brigand takes incoming damage (keeping in mind the significant CC selection available to prevent it), a warden will theoretically allow you to take on the hardest content in that brig+healer duo. If you're going to be a pussy and grind blue heroics, then take whatever. =p
