Armor vs Positioning. Both have their advantages.

I voted Assassin, but because people are so stupid, I think I'll quote myself.

Hey, did you also know that any competent ranger will be standing 5m from the mob, just like the assassin, and that your positional attacks on a 10s recast are shared with us, with only the name changed? See the difference with this is, I have to stand where i can use bow and melee CAs, you just have to go to where you use melee CAs.

And please, give it a rest with the postional challenges. It is no harder to put an assassin in the right place for max DPS than it is to position a ranger for the same.
Lack of utility should = ability to out-DPS others. period.

That may be true, however, the facts remain the same. Rangers have options to fight close or afar where Assassins don’t get that choice or options, thus giving Rangers a huge advantage, AE damage avoidance the biggest one for raids.
Therefore, that being the case, Assassins should have the edge up close and personal.

yea, true, but sure is nice to go back out of harms way and still put up some numbers no?
Dam I wish I could do that. That benefit should come at some cost.

Im pretty sure assassins can do this. Being that they get what? 3 ranged attacks? The whole arguement that rangers can stand out of harms way is complete crap, as already mentioned.
Upsides to assassins, you can cast your CAs on the move.... Rangers cant use their ranged CAs on the move (well with the exception of 2.. one requires stealth, and the other needs flanking)
That being said, I voted for Warlocks. At least on multi-target encounters, and there seems to be so many of them in a raid. And ours is a monster.

Re: Which class SHOULD do the best DPS in an optimal RAID set up?
meh, a good conj will blow anyone away. a bad conj will blow away most (which is what fucking sucks about the class, the differences between AWESOME, decent, and crappy isn't huge, like it is w/ other classes.)
and are we talking single fight? or zone wide?
