I made this poll to go with the other one. The other poll asks which class in EQ2 is capable of doing the most DPS, if everything possible was optimized for that class.

This poll is different. What this poll instead asks is, which class in EQ2 should be doing the most DPS at a raid, *if* that raid and raid groups is optimally set up to maximize DPS for the RAID AS A WHOLE.

You can see there is a very big diffference between the two questions and polls.

Your right, no single class should be. Two classes should be, a pure ranged dps, and a pure melee dps.

Ok, I'm not talking in theory, as if the classes were perfectly balanced, because I agree that all tier 1 DPS (if such a thing exists) should be capable of doing the same DPS.

But based on the situation with class balancing as it exists today, do any DPS classes have the edge over any of the others? And the question is asked not in a situation intended to max a particular class' DPS at that raid, but based on the best interests of the raid as a whole.

Lately I've heard the argument that conjurors are supposed to be at the top, but that the potential is never realized because so many are so bad at playing them.
