Amends
Grants the target redemptive aura. Whenever the target accrues hate, some of that hate is transferred to the paladin.

baiscally 41%(if master) of the person you have amends hate goes to you...

SO seriously lets look at the benefits of haveing amends on when NOT in a tanking role... Give some class a 41% dehate. Just b/c a class does have dehate doesn't mean he can do infinit dps. There is a point where his toon can't possiably do anymore with his gear and raid setup. That is gunna be about 500-800 more dps and if by some hand of god 1K. Secondly i guess you could call this a benefit the paladin my get aggro before the person with amends on. Keep in mind this is when your NOT tanking so which means A)Paladin is most likely not in his tank gear B) if he is NOT tanking he/she prob doesn't have tanking buffs C) he/she is gunna last .5 seconds longer before they die.

So lets look at the disdvantages of having amends on the biggest being the paladin can't do shit but toss spot heals and wards and if it is a aoe fight, you better stand still and hold your balls b/c your gunna get aggro if you don't. (Keep in mind this is when NOT tanking which means you DO NOT want hate) So you are gunna take a class and virtualy sideline them so that a dps clas can do 500-1K more dps when the paladin can easly do that and some. Sorry but the non shity played paladins can break 1.5 dps when not tanking and 2K aoe so...that wizard/whoever can't get a woody b/c he got that extra X amount of dps on the parse which is < of which the paladin could have done.

For those who voted yes, if your makin your guilds pally amends someone when he/she isn't tanking im sorry you haven't seen what a well played paladin can do. There are so many nubs that play this class...boot him plz and recruit another buff bitch class which will buff ppl so much better and the gimp ass group buffs paladins have...

Oh and i would love for some of the top paladins to come and post on the topic (not you gimp fucks speced for immune to fear b/c we already your a fucking retards) ones that are in known guilds and the ones that don't sit..

If any guild is bringing in a paladin to dehate someone. Please just tell them to reroll a troub. They will have the same dps (without pulling aggro), but they have better buffs along with the dehate! Bard buff bot > paladin buff bot imo. Even a half decent paladin with amends on a decent dps will pull aggro off any other tank. Now if they are a good paladin, they are screwed. Often times I have to roll with dehate gear myself just to dps WITHOUT amends on anyone in a 25k+ dps raid.

Fact is, if a paladin is brought in to dehate anyone in the raid, you are wasting a spot. Get a troub or a coercer or something. Probably why paladins look so bad in people's eyes is because they ARE being brought to a raid to dehate. Whichs means A) Their DPS sucks anyways so it doesn't matter B) They are lazy C) There is not a proper raid setup.

Ok putting amends on a dps class during a raid is retarded unless needed. Ishbu puts a warlock with me sometime to amend if we are lacking dehate or kobal is bitching. I will amend a dps class if needed but thats not what im there for. If it comes down to thats all im needed for is to amends someone im done cause thats just pointless.
Last night in MIS I had it on Falco and I couldnt do anything but auto attack. If I did more I had aggro pretty much instantly. But to have fun with it is wait till they arent paying attention and take it off them and let them die.

But overall if I can help the raid out ill amend someone without complaining. It really isnt a big deal. I solo heal grps on wuoshi, have done it through couple avatars and I think once on pumpkin, lot of paladins would complain about doing that to :P. Paladins are very useful if used correctly. But not for just pure dehate.
Just thought of this to, having amends on a dps class puts you up there further on the hate list and makes it a whole lot easier to grab aggro if shit hits the fan.

That pretty much sums it up.....and any paladin that would complain about not being able to reach their potential because they have to amends someone.......or talking trash about "Youve never seen what a Paladin can do" is just playin yourself.

You shouldnt be forced to be a dehate bot all the time of course...but the Paladin has alot of roles they can play, and in some cases allowing DPS classes to go crazy is that role. In the end if someone had to die Id rather it be a paladin then one of my heavy DPS'ers on a serious fight.
