Icon14 dual-computering healer/monk

so, after draging my fury to 80 i decided i wanted to try out some "dual-boxing"

my main objective is to be able to solo as much as possible "not talking endgame" while leveling. having a Monk is a must since that is the class i would like to play.

-what healer can with the most ease heal a monk? me thinking that a monk avoid alot of attacks, maybe a inquisitor would be good? bcs of the reactive heals. another problem for me is that i dont really know how to dual-box, so as for now im simply thinking of having 2keyboards and make some macros/bindings that are easy to access. or is there any way for me to controll the healer from my "main" aka monk keyboard?

if you have any other tips or info, about doulboxing please, feel free to tell me =)

---> short version<---

best healer for a monk tank? (easy to handle/macro/ good buffs?)
tips for dualboxing ?

cheers!

The basic principle is this:
Reactive heals work worst on a brawler, because each reactive tick is relatively small, and since the brawler gets hit less often, but for more damage, reactives aren't as effective at replacing lost life. IE Brawler avoids, avoida, avoids, gets hit for 3,000 - Reactive triggers, healing 500. brawler avoids, avoids, avoids, etc...

Wards work better for healing brawlers, since they suck up the hit, when the brawler does eventually get hit.

Heal over Times (Druids) are fairly good for all situations, but not the best. In any situation, if your monk is getting hit REALLY hard, only a ward can save him. All other heals allow him to take the damage, then eventually fill him back up.

Now, that being said, you also have to figure out which buffs each healer is going to provide. Inquisitor has great buffs, including DPS, a much needed stat for a monk. Mystic is still my favorite choice due to their proc buff. Templar is great all around, for having good buffs, (crush pierce slash, and also proc buff), plus templars also get a ward in addition to their reactives. Fury has some nice buffsand with enough AA fury will be giving you 10% base damage. Warden has some nice buffs also.

For you, I would suggest Inquis or Mystic. The DPS from inquis is probably going to benefit you most, but the Mystic is probably overall the best.

thanks for the fast respons!

so if i would go for a inquis it would be for the buffs and not the heals? since they aswell have reactives if im not wrong?

i really dont want to go do the whole betrayal thing so im down to templar or mystic, i really "like" the look and feel of the templar but him beeing on follow almost the whole time it wont really matter to me i guess. you dont happend to know when the templars get their ward?

does mystics get anything that really Shines? any buff or something like that.

and adding another question here, might be on the wrong forum but what the hell, just want a yes or no (a example or a more detailed answer is welcome tho) is there a way to make a macro that with one key-stroke casts multiple spells in a row? for example heal1-heal2-ward1-ward2 in just one stroke.?

cheers!

I'd go mystic, but then I play one too. The mystic can actually DPS for you. When you get enough AA, you can cast ROA on the tank. If spec'd for the dog, you can send the dog in to attack and it will proc heals and aoe immunity. Mystic debuffs are also pretty good for tougher fights, we can really gimp a mobs attack damage.

ROA = Ritual of Alacrity. Awesome temp buff from AA that gives you reuse-cast speed, and recover (Did I get that right?)

Yeah, thats right, but it might be unclear. 30 seconds of faster casting, faster reuse and faster recovery.

I call it shaman crack.

Defilers have that also, not only mystics, just a FYI.

Yup thats why I said shaman crack. But defilers suck. Except the one in the MT group who heals me. She is awesome and sweet and funny and we all really love her jokes.
