the blast adorns are ok for a small CA, high auto attack class like zerk but even then i would take crit bonus over it.

This is being lazy, but rather than struggle through all the math myself if it's already done somewhere... can anyone give me a way to guesstimate how much my DPS (I know potency would affect everything, unlike the rune of blasting so it's more valuable on face value) But just DPS-wise.... would be affected by 4.5% (3 X 1.5 % legendary adornments or 6.0% 3X2% fabled adornments?

To start off I sit at about 65% potency currently and 75% crit bonus.
    so you need to consider the difference between 165% (100+65) and 169.5% (100 + 65 + 4)

That extra 4.5% equates to a 2.7% increase in your current damage for CAs and heals.

There's a bit more math than that to consider if you're upping potency as there's the multiplier from primary stat and the new potency level is then multiplied by crit damage.

Crit bonus has the advantage of applying to your auto attacks and the disadvantage (if you're a healer) of not having as much of an impact on wards as potency does.

The OP is at 65 potency and 75 bonus currently, ideal math would have them equal to each other and classes all start off with an inherent lead in crit bonus from the base crit multiplier. So unless the OP needs to focus on auto attack damage s/he will see the most return from putting 3x 2% potency adorns on primary/secondary/ranged.

As for whether it's better than the current adorns, we could use some additional information. Ideal would be an ACT screenshot showing damage breakdown, since this is a dps discussion, with actual numbers for damage visible. Your guildie estimated a 400 dps gain off 6 potency, that puts you around 14-15k dps currently?

On a side note, I thought the superior rune of blasting quit crit'ing a long time ago, yours still crits?

doesn't matter about the crit damage, because it will still increase proportionally.
    for example:
    100 base spell damage.
50% crit multiplier (aka 0 crit bonus)
    0% potency
    = 150dmg

    100 base spell damage.
    50% crit multiplier
    50% potency
    = 225dmg

That's a 50% increase in damage, regardless of how much crit bonus you have, likewise for the multiplier from base stat.

So there's not really more to it than that.
