STR/WIS > AGI/WIS (rogue)

this is true? seems like it is. joined a new raid guild about 1 month ago, my parse sucked... got some gear, parse still wasnt as good as the other brig.
i examined him on my parse, his auto attack was where i was losing dps, he crits alot more than i do so obviously his dps will be higher. i have respecced to str wis and now my auto attak is 800-1200!? it used to be 5-800 does the crits make thatmuch of a difference?

Yes they do.

they maximize your hits for your current hit %.. so if your crit % is 25% you hit maximum + 1 at least for 25% of those hit

think it depends on what 1h weapon you have. used to parse better with agi+wis on Shadow Axe than str+wis. for the crits i compensated it with league rewards and other stuff (not completely but 10% crit without str line still is ok).

Yeah it totally depends on what 1h you are using.....if it has a large spread with a high max (5:1 spread say) then yes Crits will be better...

You also need to take group setup into consideration, as Pirate Stab can benefit from a good setup as well...

Edit to add - granted if you are a raiding Rogue you should probably have str for TS anyway

lol @ inquest comment. yes i raid. and i use chel drak shard. pirate stab FTL
( i didnt have TS cause another brig in guild had it and it wasnt needed for me to use. but i couldnt keep up with his dps so i said fuck it, TS inc

maybe the difference is that great between brigs and swashies but i love agi/wis and pirate's stab is awesome for me. my last zone wide was a pick up raid i parsed 2k 12% caustic 12% pirates stab. could be group set up, or could be procing more beacause of hurricane

if you raid its not worth giving up swipe.

and the only way i would give up str for agi ever is if i had the resplendant robe and got a group often that had temp/dirge.

now i know you are asking whats going to help your dps. but i just dont think giving up crits for a damage proc is worth it. if you always are grouped with people that will help you proc stab a shit ton then maybe i can see your argument, but when it all boils down to it, giving up swipe isnt worth your boost in dps if there even if there is one in your situation.
