Default Re: Hate in the MT group

We run:

Guard
Defiler ( me )
Templar
Warden
Dirge
Coercer

occassionally we will replace the coercer for the swashy but usually go coercer over the swashy or assassin

Edit: Btw: what is the hate limit?

Hate cap is still 50/50

My question is for those that run with a Coercer over a Swashy/Assassin do you guys usually have enough utility for the other 3 groups?

My problem with that setup is that if you have a limited amount of utility classes (Dirge, Troub, Illusionist, Coercer) then you're leaving an entire group, two groups depending without any buffs or power regen.

We go with max hate in MT group (Guardian, Shaman, Templar, Coercer, Dirge and Swash). We are lucky that we have 2 Dirges, trouba, Coercer and Illu in guild - so powerregen is usually covered.

Both Hate Transfer and Hate mod is capped at 50% and 50% (max. of 100%).

Coercer = ~16% mod + ~16% trans
Assassin/Swashbuckler = ~35% transfer
Dirge = ~35% mod

MT group with Dirge, Coercer and either Swashbuckler or Assassin FTW (max hate).

But thank you for making my Coercer useless in the OT group unless their is a dirge to put hate gen on the OT also. Trying to put a class in a niche and completely killing any other places they could fit ftl, especially since it isn't going to put them in that niche you want them in.
I can agree with the fact we're less usefull outside the MT group but you stating we're not usefull in the MT group is kinda silly.

Utilitywise i think it's clear we are usefull, we have the best powermanagement and we have nice aa's purely built for the MT group.

Now you stating that our hate is not good enough is bull.
We create an immense amount of hate because of our buffs, our cc. I'm often the second to die if the MT goes down so that tells something about hate. I'm not the second in line with dps, ofcourse not. Our raid can get up to 40k dps on some fights and so we have enough high dps-ers, so you don't have to come with the argument that the rest of our raid doesn't know how to dps ...

On top of that adding another 88 dps (if you have at least 5 setpieces) is quite nice for the MT's own aggro.

We're a broken class but if we're good for one thing, it's being in the MT group, we might not be as good as dirges but we bring enough to the table to earn our spot there.
