Default Saw something weird in my combat logs

Hey guys,
I'm not sure if a threads been posted about this, but I was looking through my combat logs earlier while on my 65 ranger and I noticed several of these popping up periodically through the zone (Acadacism)

(1185172376)[Mon Jul 23 0056 2007] YOU hit Unknown for 30875 pain and suffering damage.

(1185172331)[Mon Jul 23 0011 2007] Khalysta hits Unknown for 15817 pain and suffering damage.

(1184119510)[Tue Jul 10 20:05:10 2007] Karzack hits Unknown for 29617 pain and suffering damage.

It showed up 6 times twice off me and once off the other 4 people in the group..

Anyone have any clue what it is? I wasn't running my parser so I couldn't see if it added to the parse.

I asked out in Channels but of course, you have several idiots who were bent on flaming rather than answering the damn question. lol
All responses are appreciated

Acadechism? Those sword things can sometimes pop up as unknown, also if your very far away the log sometimes doesnt register the target you hit. Or it can be a bug where the mob was partially out of sight.

That'd answer most of it, but why the hell 30K damage? I didnt know I could hit that high with a Rain caller at level 65 =p

Psh didnt notice that

Well, possible its on the kill shot, Pain and Suffering are usually something that pops up on the kill shot - remember back in EQLive when Pain and Suffering would kill you? Guessing its bout the same here in EQ2, except it only shows in the detailed log file.

Our group setup was Ranger, Ranger, Assassin, Fury, Conjy.. lol

So, coulda been the conjy proc?.. I dunno... Was hopin someone knew exactly what was goin on so maybe I could replicate it again and see if it added to the parse LOL

And the only reason I found out about it was about 20 minutes after the group broke I looked at my chat window (the one that shows my auto attacks/ca's so I can time them, etc.) so it showed there too heh

I had to program ACT to specifically ignore these messages because they conflicted with another formatting that they used, but did not provide the correct info. Anyhow, it had to do with the last named there... DVinn? He splits into ghosts or something and comes back hurt the same amount he left as... of course spawning an NPC brings him as full, so he needs to be brought down to the correct level. Unknown is simply the client's way of telling you that the subject is not visible on the client's machine, but the server is still sending the event. You will often get swarm pets attacking something showing up as Unknown. They attack before the client even renders them.

In short, the event script is bringing DVinn to the correct health level in a semi-hidden manner.

Hopefully, D'vinn and the dumbfire pets will no longer show up as "Unknown". I fixed them to proxy down faster as they spawn rather than spawning and doing damage before the server updates you.

30k by a ranger interesting. Hmm, I dunno I think I'll have to borrow Lockeye's nerf bat on that one ;) The assassin on the other hand wasn't too shabby at all

Aeralik <3's Assassins and not rangers, that is why they get all the crit/proc gear =(
