    Default Swashbuckler vs. Assassin

Starting new EQ2 gold + AOD account. New player to EQ2. Very interested in rolling a scout. Is there any reason to roll swashbuckler over an assassin? If I am going to DPS, shouldn't I focus on a T1 dps class? I must be missing something. Please advise.

I think you should roll whichever sounds more fun - Assassin or Swashy. Both have their places in this game: solo, heroic, or raid. Both are excellent T1 DPSers. I don't think you're missing anything.

Swashbucklers are one of the most metrosexual classes in MMO history. DPS is directly proportional to how good you look.

Flamboyant Strike. You were thinking of Dashing Swathe.

You seem straight due to the fact that you didn't call the class a 'sin'. So you'd probably be happier as an assassin.
It's only weird if it doesn't work.

Neither, go with Mercenary or Sorcerer.

    Tracer spam vs. Lightning spam.

    Take your pick.

Speaking of which, when did Assassin's become "sins"? Geezus the first time I saw someone type that I assumed he was a "cool" 13 year old. (okay, I AM old and maybe my use of language is archaic)

they're not. Sparkly vampire twitard types are the only ones who call the class "sin". Those people are always happier playing a ranger or swashie.
It's only weird if it doesn't work.
