Re: Uncontested Avoidance?
dont bother it s just the period of the year when brawler think they should be raid tanking. so they want to get all other players, that were smart enought to pick a class that was known to be able to raid tank, nerfed
you can see this as periods, except it only affects brawlers.

Not all brawlers want to be raid tanks. I'd be happy just to have the uncontested avoidance with my defensive stance be across all stances.

why would that be? for gladiator's revenge you have to sacrifice your tower shield for a buckler, block is uncontested and the block you get from towershields is more than 10 block% higher than the one from bucklers.

Re: Uncontested Avoidance?
Need to find a buckler specced warrior tank with a parse from a raid boss. Even better multiple parses, some with a buckler some with a tower shield.

Re: Uncontested Avoidance?
block is contested. It's not hard to figure out if you look at the parse. Seems more uncontested than other parts of avoidance though. Some say it is uncontested vs mob level but not vs mobs skills, and this very well maybe true.
Curiass of Hate is 5% block, not 2% dodge.
From the small study that I did awhile back (total of 8 DT runs), the reposte that comes from the adornment and gladiators revenge is truely uncontested (atleast it was before they recently changed it - I haven't tested this recently). I did notice though, during a recent respec, that the reposte from gladiators revenge was adding to my BASE part of avoidance, and don't think it did this before. Even when the wrist adornments were block, they were semi-contested like regular block, but since it was changed to parry I haven't tested it. Others have and said it's uncontested, but since the 1% block was considered over powered, I don't see them changing it to 2% (and truely uncontested) which would be even more over powered. I know when you apply the 2% parry adornment, that it adds to the "parry" part of avoidance, which normally is contested. And this isn't even always 2% when you apply it! Sometimes it's a little lower or higher, I think it depends on where you are on the diminishing returns of it, they were like 1.8 or 1.9% for me. Also, vs higher level epic mobs, very little ever gets parried - no where near the 20% or so I had showing in persona screen.
Edit: Also like to add that maybe this testing that I did shouldn't be considered proof by itself, simply because of the small amount of data. It was 4 runs without the adornments and gladiators revenge, and 4 runs with them. But others have tested it a lot more thoroughly with the same results. I can try to find links if you want, they were in the zerker forums on the official boards awhile back.

Re: Uncontested Avoidance?
As a Templar with no actual Parry skill... the 4% parry the adornments give me is enough parry checks through Shield Ally to make me assume that it is "uncontested".
Today's raid had me parrying 2.28% of the attacks on the MT. Since Shield Ally is 60% chance, that would equate to 3.8% parry. Since all the mobs were a higher level than myself, I'd say that's pretty good. One would assume that even 4x trash to have higher than average melee skills to get past contested parry checks?
Oh yeah, and I know for sure that it is not a normal parry check, because I cannot riposte from it. Ever since those adornments came out, I have not riposte once. I have hundreds of MB of logs to prove it.

Re: Uncontested Avoidance?
interesting. so when they changed it from 1% block to 2% parry, they actually made them 2x better, rather than the nerf that everyone thought it was.
