Swarthy Distraction => 0s recast.
Enraging Demeanor => 9s recast.
Hyran's Seething Sonata => 30s recast.


There is no valid reason why Hyran's should be more than 3x the recast of every hate buff in the game.

I wonder what the reason is for having it that long to begin with. It's like guard buffs, we have a re-cast of 60 seconds. Is it something that needs instantly fixed? Nope. Would it benefit us at all if we got them down to 10 seconds, or 20, or even 30? Not really - I don't see many bitching about downtime waiting for guard buffs.

I guess I view it more like the griffons in BB. They weren't really needed, but not a bad thing either. I'm sorta indifferent.

Fixing that re-cast, or guards buffs recast, won't change much of anything. Yes, it'll make it SLIGHTLY more convienient for us, but in the end it won't really make a hill of beans.

If a dev sees this, and it's a quick simple change, sure shoot for it - but most certainly don't put it above anything else on your plate.

Maybe with these new changes, yeah. Previously, though, I rarely ran into agro problems, with/without hate buffs. About 3-4 weeks ago I asked out MT dirge to stop playing hate in favor or more offensive spells, and never really saw a difference.

I will admit, our DPS is not quite as high as you guilds most likely. We average 22-24k, spiking to 27k or so at times, sometimes as low as 17ish. It could be that you and your tanks have a tougher fight holding back 30-35k dps. In my situation, it wouldn't matter much.

I hadn't thought of the dispelling guys when writing my previous comment, either. They don't dispell my group buffs, or at least they never have dispelled my group buffs yet, so it didn't come forefront in my mind like a dirge would think of it. My wife, a troubador, is always cussing when she gets mass-dispelled so at least I fully recognize your frustration.

I assume you play a Guardian from your post? I can only sugest that maybe you havent noticed then as most guard buffs ARE dispellable...

The problem with group buffs is that the buffs on your maintained window still show unless it is dispelled from you personally, they are player specific, not group wide so half the group could of had your buffs removed from them, yet you are assuming nothing has been dispelled as you still see the buff on your maintained...

Thing was Hyran's used to be an insta recast(or very near to it) but with the launch of EoF they changed the recast time to what it is now.
