    So basicly this expansion is exactly like every expansion in EQ2 ever?

    Honestly I didn't expect it.

    I heard someone said they are nerfing WDB or some shit, can anyone here confirm? I don't play anymore I just want to see how dumb some ideas can be.

    I also like how still not everyone knows what the fuck the stats mean and what they do.

    A lot of stats solely improve your auto attack damage and nothing else, and as a result, auto attacks become a pretty big chunk of your damage.

    I think it's sort of difficult to balance the dps it provides. Make it too strong and it becomes the focus of your rotation like it has been for a while now. You cast your CAs in between your auto attacks since delaying those attacks is a huge dps loss. On the other hand, you make it too weak and people ignore it and all the stats that improve it. Gamers in general also tend to have a very black and white mindset. There can almost never be an in between. Auto attack damage to EQ2 players is either the best thing ever, or absolutely worthless.

    I think a great way to fix this would be to make some of the stats that only affect auto attacks also affect your CAs and spells. Multi Attack, for example. If CAs had the chance to hit multiple times (through MA, or through flurry even), less emphasis on your auto attacks would exist.

    It's a fun thing to think about, that's for sure.

    I'm just wondering why I've never seen anything about consolidating weapon damage bonus and potency gear sets before considering scout balancing issues. It just seems to me like the most efficient way to balance classes across each other is to only have 2 sets available to classes, one that is full focus on damage with all casting and autoattack stats on the gear and one that steals a little from from wdb, pot and crit bonus for a max health and mitigation set (like, 10 perecent reduced stats for 10 perecent max health and mit). That way , even with tanks considered if, say a leather piece drops and it's max health and mit both the brawlers and druids who want more survivability would both consider it. Or a chain piece drops and both shamen and scouts would desire it.
    It seems to me that once you do this and get everyone on balanced ground as far as damage stats, then tuning the individual classes across those stats would be lot less headache because you don't have a bajillion different gear combinations to consider (yup, that's the actual amount, I counted it).
    Then just making the 2 sets for each armor type, making mit reforgeable into block you make it the tanks decision on which way they want to go for their defensive stats. Instead of 6 different sets to pick and choose from (wdb/ae, wdb/haste, mit, block, and even potency and potency/max health for those that use reckless), you cut down on the amount of armor types and make it the players decision on which way to reforge.

    Also with the added dps from consolidating gear sets you may not have to adjust mob health like you had mentioned in the twitch stream. Just seems to me it would be a lot less work with gear consolidation.

    Well, he was apparently half listening, sorry scouts I tried...
    From Friday's test update notes:
    Added potency to Altar of Malice mitigation armor.
    Fighters may purchase a Potent Converter from Khadra in North Seas to convert their current block armor into fighter only block+potency armor.
