I was jsut wondering where everyone tries to fit Communion into their raid spell rotation. I know some cast on pull but with 83+ raid zone mobs, wouldn't it be better dps wise to wait untill the mobs are debuffed? Most of us use our caster pet for raids, but with casting communion, we summon our melee pets. Its harder to land a melee attack than a spell attack and with the mob not being debuffed on the pull, we could be wasting valuable dps by casting it before the mobs are fully debuffed.

Most debuffs are in place on mob when its in comming or couple secs after .If wait for debuffs like dispatch to cast this spell you will be loseing more dps when factor in cast time and recast of the spell and wizards should be useing there RoD when dispatch comes in to maximize it.

So take into account of wizards RoD and cast time of communion your talking of 8-9 secs befor communion pets will be at mob so its a waste.

Best to use it at beginning of fight on incomming if can and will possibly be back up to use again in same fight sometimes.

I am precasting pyro when the tank gets to "5" on the incoming, then communion. Ask your troub for jesters before you do-and get jesters everytime you can-use plane shift every time it's up, but try not to use it without jesters, it's a very long recast. If you have a monk in a raid, it will help you a great deal, with their raidwide fastcast ability-i was hitting 4500-5500 with that in troub/warlock/wizard/fury/bruiser group. Communion is a relatively fast recast good for (i'm guessing) about 500-700dps while it's up-use it! We finally have a hard hitting "quick" recast spell, since plane shift is a ridiculously long recast without the chel ring/jesters.

On raid Mt counts from 5 or so, on 5 I cast Avatar, on incoming and i see the mobs running in I cast communion, followed by EV (upgraded version) then I chain cast my quick spells dropping dumbfires in when I can. Our trouby drops precision on a 5 count after the mobs come in so we have time to drop communion and EV then the quick casters all hit with a proc. I P/S when it's up and AFTER precision has stopped IF there is more then 50% life left on the mob which there normally isn't. P/S for the named mostly since everything else dies to fast.

As for the mobs not being debuffed they are normally debuffed very very quickly so thats a mute point.

either on pull or if im not in melee range to cast earthquake after about 3-5 crystal blasts ill find a place for it.
