Inferno Golem Raid DPS increase Adept III to Master
Just bought my Inferno Golem the other night
For those who have had it for a while what is the increase in your raid dps?
I have Antagonize master I and the Inferno Golem Master 1.
My understanding was that adept 3 to master 1 is about 14% increase.
If our pets do 40% of our dps is the upgrade from adept 3 to master 1 more than a potential 14% total dps increase?
Im an idiot with math so bear with me.
Thanks

Re: Inferno Golem Raid DPS increase Adept III to Master
5.6 percent straight damge increase sounds about right.
I guess the other main factor is the decrease in mobs resisting your pets spells. This could factor in significantly more than just the 5.6% increase in straight damage on a raid mob level 82-86.
Has anyone with master pet noticed a big difference?

My pet is already at 97-100% hit rate at ad3.

Re: Inferno Golem Raid DPS increase Adept III to Master
Unless you're using the M1 Golem, there is no increase. The Ad3 does slightly less damage than the previous tier M1 due to scaling issues. I've seen a big increase since getting the M1 Golem on raid parses.
This imo is one of the reasons people seem to think we've suddenly become inferior to Sorcerors lmfao what a joke.

Think this will remain true if the sorcerer gets compression, no?
Also, an assassin that gets some buffs is something I find hard to beat aswell

Re: Inferno Golem Raid DPS increase Adept III to Master
They get more buffs than we do, wtf do people expect? I'd love to have TC and a spare Tandem for my pet to play with.
One of our biggest issues atm is that no matter what we do to ourselves, there simply isn't anyway we can transfer some of that to our pets due to lack of Summoner specific items giving benefits to our pet and/or lack of stat/crit sharing between owner and pet.
If that wasn't enough, in the raiding scene we get screwed with 3 worthless set bonuses. We can't take advantage of Magma Seed since it's melee/ranged only, Shattered Terrain? Come the fuck on how often do we use that? Once every 40 seconds or so, Blazing Manifestation would have been a better choice and Communion is nice but only against lower level mobs. The high yellow and orange mobs make Communion pets miss all the time...
Swarm pets can't crit, Communion pets can't crit, get group buffs or be told to attack additional targets on top of that.
With so many problems it's understandable where this inferiority idea is coming from. WTB FIX SOE!
Necro's are slightly worse off than us since spell damage mods don't work with their lifetaps 100% of the added damage value gg!!

Does having Communion M1 have a higher rate of hit chance in VP? I would gladly test this out myself but i'm not there yet.

I don't have the M1 yet, but I doubt we'll see a big improvement since we're also fighting against the whole auto-attack hit rate issue the melee classes are running into with our Tank and Monk pets against orange mobs.

Re: Inferno Golem Raid DPS increase Adept III to Master
I've been pre-casting M1 communion on incoming trash(and on the nameds) in VP, and it does add some dps to you when it's up, albeit on orange mobs the hit rate is definitely down. A suggestion I would give you is(this is how i have my setup) to only have your dps and pet dps showing up. At least you can see if they're hitting or not, or, if you want to see what they're actually doing, and you don't have issues keeping your main pet alive, do a /petname change and run your own parse for fights. The communion pets do show up on parses(probably won't show up on the guild parser, of course) under their name. Try it when you're soloing as well, it'll give you a baseline for what they should be doing-their hit rate, their damage, etc. Just my two cents.
