This is the first time I have cried over a game. I have now cancelled my account. I know it is an overreaction - but that is how much emotional energy I put into this quest. For those interested this is what SOE had to say.

This is Senior Game Master Kimbial. I have read your petition and received a copy of your bug report. As previous GMs have stated, a report on the matter was sent to QA and Development for review. A coding issue has not been confirmed. In Game Customer Service cannot assist you with an update to your epic quest at this time. We do recommend that you attempt the encounter again when you are next able to.
If there is anything else we can try to assist you with, please let us know.

This is not acceptable. Could you please escalate the issue to someone that has the authority to address the problem. I completed the quest correctly and should not have to repeat the quest again. Repeating it again is problematic - first my guild is locked out and secondly everyone in my guild got the update they needed on Pawbuster and it is not a raid that we do since we are already in Veeshans Peak. Why should I be unable to complete my epic because of a SOE bug and then not receive any help from SOE in fixing the problem.

After reviewing your updated message I understand that possibly because you had another quest open that required the same update, you did not receive both updates. I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you, as I know how frustrating missing such an important update can be. As previously mentioned we are unable to assist with the epic quest line in any way, which includes reimbursing an item or giving an update to the player. I would suggest you finish up the quest Fate of Norrath and then once again try and receive your update for Pawbuster. If after you have done so and are still unable to update your quest, please feel free to report back to us so that we can further assist you.
If you have any other issues we can assist you with, please don't hesitate to ask.

As stated I have checked that I completed this step correctly (both with players and websites). Me and the other conjuror in our guild did the exact same steps and they got the update and i did not get the update. The only difference is that I also had the Fate of Norrath quest that updated and seemed to block the update to the Phrotis' Exertion: Reckless Strength quest. And yes I had the buff up which I put on just prior to commencing battle and lasts for 30 minutes. We killed Pawbuster well under that time and the buff was automatically removed once I killed Pawbuster.

Unfortunately there is no true way to hasten the process of the investigation. Our QA department will take a look at the issue as soon as they receive our report and will let us know if anything is working improperly. For the time being, I suggest you check with your friends that you are working on the correct part of the quest, and that you have completed all of the different requirements. Since we have not received any other reports regarding this particular quest, it is very likely that you have done something incorrectly. I apologize for the inconvenience, and if you have any further questions or concerns feel free to reply to this petition or submit a new one.

How can this bug be expedited to the QA team? This is game breaking for me as I will miss out on completing this quest line. I have sent a bug report, but how do I get them to read it now (rather than in a weeks time)?

Unfortunately, until an issue with an epic quest is confirmed by our Quality Assurance team, In-Game CS is not permitted to assist or grant updates. Again, we have submitted a bug report to have this issue checked and we suggest you do the same. You can submit a bug report by typing /bug while ingame. In your report, be sure to include as much information as possible to better our investigation. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience, and if you have any further questions or concerns feel free to reply to this petition or submit a new one.

I have now also submitted a bug report. But please fix my quest within the next 8 hours before my guild moves on to the next step.

I know how this quest works and it failed because of a SOE bug. Now fix my update immediately. I followed the same steps as the other conjuror in the raid who got an update. I am totally unhappy with the poor service here. If this is not rectified I am going to cancel my account.

Unfortunately, we cannot interfere or provide any insight on how to gain this update. Our records indicate that you did kill Pawbuster but that does not indicate whether or not the quest was fulfilled. I am afraid you will have to try again. We are protecting the integrity of the the epic discovery as well as the player achievement very diligently. If you believe you have encountered a bug please file a /bug report and our QA team will investigate the matter thoroughly.

Additionally killing Pawbuster updated my other quest The Fate of Norrath, but did not update my quest Phrotis' Exertion: Reckless Strength - although I completed the step correctly.

I have the Phrotis' Exertion: Reckless Strength quest and just killed Pawbuster 20 minutes ago whilst having the Phrotis' Physical Will buff on from the Focus Item: Strength. However my quest did not update as it should. Could you please fix my journal ASAP as my guild will be killing Venril Sathir tomorrow which is the next quest step needed. As you will see I am now locked out of The Execution Throne Room but without the quest update - and all the other members of my guild got their updates needed for Pawbuster and therefore will not be doing this mob again for a long time since it is Tier 1. I should not have to suffer because of this game bug. Your prompt resolution will be much appreciated.
