Not for sure if its a bug or working as intended but if you have the Bloodthirsty choker on and use Blazing Vigor it hits your pet 10% harder and it also takes away 5% of your health as if it was a damage spell.

I'm not sure it's a bug either way.

However, I do believe that "Magma Seed" proccing the choker is a bug, as Magma Seed is a buff and not a damage spell.

Casting possess minion while wearing the bloodthirsty choker will not work and you will not gian possesion of your pet to do what you want.

Definitely an annoying bug. I'm not sure but I think Possess Minion actually triggers a damage tick on you if you wear the choker, thus breaking Possess Minion.

A simple fix is to tell people not to wear their choker when they cast Possess Minion :P

Here is a bug that should be of the utmost conscern for us, at least those of us who get shoved off into the "scrub" groups.

Currently, Reanimate is bugged. This was discovered as I was parsing my adept III pet to compare against my new Master 1 air pet. As I was at the wall I used reanimate simply to save time and replenish his power completely to get into the next fight I could parse out. When the comparison was all said and done, I saw practically no difference. Through some digging and possess minion I noticed he was Apprentice 1.

I immediately checked Eqflames and saw someone mention it shortly and no one gave it another thought. With the thought of this simply being a "display" bug and the truth being it actually being an M1 pet, I ran back to the wall. I did a test, came up with the same previosu results. Summoned him properly, possessed to check skill level, redid the test, did twice as much total damage almost. 575 as opposed to 300. In playing around I have figured out how to repeat the bug, I'll describe this below.

Summon pet regularly. Use expire. Reanimate. At this point he is still M1 for some reason. Use expire again, Reanimate, and now he's apprentice 1. To be fair as well as exact. I casted conjurors pact and the offensive stance each time i resummoned it.

I repeated this 3 times in a row and got the same results. In addition, I attempted to continue using Expire/Reanimate to see if it switched back and forth, and it was apprentice 1 five times in a row so I gave up at that point.

Why this is important? (if it isn't obvious) If we are in a "scrub" group, i.e. a dirge instead of a troub, we woudl be stupid to NOT use our melee pet to take advcantage of all those nice melee/CA buffs. In addition, one of the huge benefits of the AGI line which we can Duel/Tri spec is the ability to fah-get-about the AOE's. No jousting needed waiting for the call to go back in, or late AOE's when precious dps is wasted as your pet stands by you. Simply reanimate him, throw debuff proc and offensive as he runs in. Negligable down time. Yet on our second round of aoe' eatings, he's now apprentice 1. And doing just under 300 dps less.

It would be FINE if this was where it stopped. It's not. All raid buffs for the most part are agumentations of the base damage the pet outputs. DPS, Haste mods are perfect examples. Even + CA damage is limited by caps at apprentice 1 qualities. I'll be honest I don't know the full ammount of + ca,.. but I can definately see teh possibililty of it occuring with the proper gear for procs etc... This would explain the reason that in the same group setup in two different raids in teh same place I parsed about 500 dps less.

It's bad enough that we have to micromanage our pet (which i love the challenge, I truly do) but to have to deal with an app 1 pet? Too much. I suggest you all try to repeat this and post your results as well. I'm assuming the reason this has not come up before now is because most of you guys roll with a troub (I hate you all lol), and the first reanimate doesn't screw it. For those of us poor bastards with dirges 500 dps is a rediculous uneeded hit when we're already scraping by trying to keep up with the scouts.
