Re: Pets dying - Does this heal Raid mobs?
Ok the theory among us right now is that it's not our mage or tank pet, it's what they call 'humanoid' pets who, when dying, give him this boost. So if you're using either your scout pet or cast communion (which naturally spawns the scout pet, even if just in dumbfire form), you can trigger this uber-thing you're talking about.
I'll try to find a source for that.

Truthfully if there is something of some super buff that gets applied with pets i never seen it.Have mostly just preety much burned him down till like 20 with everything includeing pets. Then let up a bit for positioning over grate and he kills himself.

Pets don't count, period. It doesn't matter what class they are, they don't count as real deaths to a mob and he does not heal because of them.

Well how do rumors like that get started then? And what DOES heal him, cause something clearly does?

Mayong heals when he casts Blanket, and he also heals when he kills a PC(as in they die from him attacking the PC, not the adds killing the PC).
It was started long ago(probably by me even! because I didn't realize how it all worked back then, since those types of mobs were brand new), and since then everybody's realized how it works, and some people are too stupid and refer to old information.

I'm not sure what it has to do with being 'too stupid' but whatever. Glad you've figured it all out and can feel better about yourself now.

Because you not only made the wrong assumption, you didn't believe everyone else who told you that.
And Ron, that's why I specced AE avoidance on my tank pet and used him on Talendor.
