Pets dying - Does this heal Raid mobs?

Been told that Mayong, named in Thugga etc, many raid mobs when your pet dies it heals the mob.

Is this the case? If so even our dumbfire pets will heal the mob if an aoe kills them?

I don't believe so. I been using swarms on RoK mobs (where death causes the mob to heal), and i haven't noticed this at all with swarms or primary pets.

The only reason your primary pets will die is if you are careless, or just plain unlucky.

Pet dying is ok. Doesn't count as a PC death.

You know, that is probably the stupidest mechanic ever. One bad RNG roll, mob turns on raid, boom half the raid is dead, and it just healed a metric assload of HP.

Pet deaths don't count as PC deaths and therefore don't trigger mob heals. SoE removed that mechanic looong ago. It was especially noticeable when SoE removed the ability of swarm and regular pets to act as PC's and eat AOE charm from Gardener Thirgen in EH.

Great thanks for the replys!

Have been really upset with some raiding encounters being told I cant use main pet and swarm pets. Kind of makes our class useless in the encounters.

Good to hear this is not true and look forward to using my pets more in raids.

Now i dont know this to be a fact but just what i observed. I know that in ETR Executioners Throne Room that when my pet dies it gives Pawbuster one of those awesome buffs he gets that reduces incoming damage by 2 percent and increases his str by like 1 milliion. LOL im sure its not a million but its alot. Are you all experiencing the same thing? When Paw gets too many of those buffs on him he is pretty much untouchable.
