I know its not good to use for soloing, just curious what its best used for? I am assuming groups and such due to the fact it make the pet invulnerable to many types of crowd control.

Tank pet only, so pretty damn useless all around don't waste your time or AA on it.

I was debating of going down the str tree as well.
This is primarily for soling.

I wrote an AA guide that should help a little. The one posted here on Flames is more aimed at raiders, mine is more of a general guide and aimed at newbies, but both are good resources. Personally I don't like the STR tree too much for soloing, it generates too much aggro over the tank pet, and your odds of survival at lower levels are less than stellar than at level 80.

Right now I am as follows

wis> 4/4

Dont get unflinching servent ...the use is so situational aint worth it....makes pet stifled also.
Not sure on levels but if soloing and prob useing earth pet get enhanced earth pet in eof tree also go int line to get minions warding.
And strenth line is good for parrys and crits.
thats prob minimum want for soloing so start there on top of your stam/wisdom lines

With stam line pet hate position AA for most part will negate ripping aggro from pet from soely crit stand point and the parry will help when you do pull it.

Unless it resists of course, and the cooldown timer still means you have to watch your aggro. But good point.

Taken the liberty of filling this out when I was bored tonight...feel free to copy paste it into the OP
I didnt bother with dumbfires but I could make an average of communion next time. Needless to say a conjuror should only have 5 opening spells and more than likely in this order:
-Blazing Manifestation
-Communion
-Plane Shift
-Elemental Vestement
-Winds of Velious
Afterwards its just in your best interrest to steadily rotate spells based on their DPS efficiency

Due to certain concerns about how this chart works I reworked it to take into consideration the reuse time of the spells listed, also removed the X # portions and changed the original spells to (per target). I'll also add dumbfires (communion included) based of a 10 times cast trial when I get the time.
NOTE: The following chart isn't 100% valid. The circumstances of these values are based entirely on whether or not the spell is recast immediately after recharge time is met. Beyond that this chart tells us what we already know, that being what spells should register as highest on parses.
Furthermore the reuse timers of the spells listed haven't been modified in any way, to be sure of this I hopped on a level 1 character using the already determined damage efficiencies.
