Hows your parse when the group isnt optimum.
Recently in our raiding force we have been trouby free (which really sucks). We are looking for a consistent raiding trouby but have not found one yet. MY question is this. How is your parse when the right group buffs arent there? Last nights raid group setup was this. Me(conjy), Fury, necro, necro, wizzy, coercer. Last night in ETR i was doing around 2.4 to 2.7 k consistently. I have decent gear. No VP gear but probably best avaiable in t2 t3 has to offer. SO the question is ...How is your DPS when the "optimum" group setup isnt there?

In a group with dirge, mystic, and some other people that swing sharp metal objects around I stay around 2200 (just dmg spells) to 3300 (balls to the wall), in tier 1-3. Sometimes more sometimes less, depends on rest of raid as well.

No trouby and no illy for me will drop me to 2500-3000 easy.

Re: Hows your parse when the group isnt optimum.
Yes, I have had to explain this to my guild. Recently they were taking me out of the trouby group, and I wasn't even making parse, where before I was staying number 2 or 3 on the parse. It was bad. I think they thought they were helping the others boost their dmg or something, I dont' know, but the wizzies in the group with the trouby still did decent damage with or without him, and for some reason they put a pally in there over me, which doesn't do much regardless... as far as dmg goes.
Finally they have put me back with the trouby and my parse has shot back up. I hope they saw that the amount of extra dmg they are getting from putting others in with the trouby doesn't even equal what they are losing by not putting me there.

It is very clear to me by looking at the parse and should be crystal clear to raid leaders that our DPS is alot higher in the trouby group. If you look at the parse Dissonate Note is a very large chunk of your dps. Our ILLY in our guild has become a semi permanent fixture in the trouby group and his DPS is insane. I have a hard time catching him in the parse unless it is an encounter. Single target mobs the ILLY owns....right under the Assassin.
Here is another question for you all. How much do you think your ping effects your dps. I am on broadband but i live in Indiana and my ping is around 240 or so. I know other people whos ping is lower and seems their DPS is higher due to this. DO you all think this effects your dps?

Erm, if you're lagging like hell then yeah, when you have to wait 3 seconds for your spell to cast after hitting the key of course. But if the extent of the lag is not causing any delay and your generally not playing worse because you're staring at a frozen screen, it shouldn't matter.
Considering the conj and its pet will both proc aria and a conj casts a ton of spells in any given amount of time, your RL should realize how important a troub is to you.

Re: Hows your parse when the group isnt optimum.
Necro's wizzy's and Warlocks can all parse decent with no trouby in thier group. They of course will parse higher in a trouby group, but when removed thier DPS doesn't drop nearly as bad as ours does. I guess thats because they cast slower hence get less procs then we do and the trouby buffs done' account for as much of thier ZW as it does for ours.
No trouby = me sucking hind tit on a parse.. it sucks but it's reality.

Re: Hows your parse when the group isnt optimum.
The real winner is the fact that our lower cast times gives us more opertunity to parse higher. This is of course assuming you've gone down the Unabate line and have put points in the corrent branches, if you haven't I'd recommend you reroll a new class because you shouldn't be at this point in the game you coat tail rider.
What Khylan is at is what you want to be parsing if you had to ballpark it. Trouby should bring you up to 3.2-3.6 and Illusionist should have you skimming the water around 4k.
This is with all Adept 3s for me of course, but the devil inside me wants to say that if you aren't in the mage group then your Raid Leader is a fucking tard, unless you're lacking scouts and overflow on mages.

Re: Hows your parse when the group isnt optimum.
no troub i parse 2.6k-3k consistantly.. depends on rest of raid of course too. with a troub and wizard(we have two wizards so i'll always have one) I can consistantly do 3.4k-3.9k.. put an illus in my group and i'll do an easy 4.2k-4.6k. Of course that all depends on zone too.. you put me in a good group in korsha and i'll do 5k-5.6k.. with 8k-10k on the OK fight if my pet doesn't die. (on the OK fight we toss out the additional scout in the mage group and put the SK offtank in)
I'm full adept III's with master fire pet, communion, winds of velius, and M2 of our fire DD which for some reason i can't remember atm :P

Re: Hows your parse when the group isnt optimum.
Oh an add on to my post.. we run with a zerker MT and SK OT so generally our raid's dps is higher altogether... my high numbers have alot to do with theirs.
