On a raid yesterday in MMIS raidleaders said we don't have to use our stifle/stun/daze on some nameds because they give immunities, which would be bad when we have to interrupt a cast at the end. He especially said we are not allowed to use our spells even if the stun doesn't actually hit epic targets anyway.

I was under the impression that our Petrify and Shattered Ground line will not cause any immunities since the effect will not hit epics anyway. Am I right?

In the end we couldn't interrupt the enemy and lacked the DPS to kill it. Particullary because we couldn't use all of our spells.

Any spell that say's XXXX portion does not effect epic targets is safe to use, that part of the spell won't hit the named. Solidify that has a stun is safe as is any other spell, epics are immune to that portion of the spell and can't be affected by it.
